For many new writers, getting the first thousand page views seems an impossible task.

It is hard to imagine the joy of getting the first million page views.

What about ten million page views?

Let us take a look at some writers with more than ten million page views as of 3 February 2011.

Most writing sites do not display the total page views of the writers. That is why I check out only Ezinearticles and Associated Content.

These two sites display the total page views of the writers.

1. Saul Relative

Saul Relative joined Associated Content in November 2007.

He has more than four thousand articles as of 3 February 2011. Can you guess how many page views he has?

You definitely get it wrong if you guess ten or even eleven million page views.

He has a grand total of 18,881,858 page views.

Since Saul Relative is a Clout 10 writer earning at the rate of $2 per 1,000 page views, you can imagine how much money he earns from article writing.

On top of the page views payment, Saul Relative would have earn from upfront payment as well.

If you check out his articles, you would find many news article and political controversy articles.

2. Lance Winslow

Lance Winslow is the second most prolific writer in Ezinearticles, a free article directory.

That means he does not earn a single cent despite writing so many articles.

He has a grand total of 22,444 articles and a total page views of 10,334,686. He joined Ezinearticles in March 2005.

That means he writes at an average of ten articles per day over the course of six years.

Lance Winslow likes to express his viewpoints on many sensitive issues.

Most of his opinion pieces make for very interesting reading. In his recent article entitled: A Failed Presidency in the US and a 30-Year Presidential End in Egypt, he implied that Barack Obama and his administration is a failed administration, possibly the worst in the history of the nation.

The remarkable fact about Lance Winslow is his ability to write more than ten high quality articles per day.

3. R. Ann Siper

R. Ann Siper cements her reputation of being the first writer in Associated Content to cross the 20th million page views mark.

As of 3 February 2011, she has a grand total of 4096 articles with 21,750,089 page views.

She joined Associated Content in May of 2005.

This shows that the dream of getting more than ten million page views is possible, provided you work very hard, and write consistently.

That means she has a higher average page views per article than many other writers.

She joined Associated Content in 2005.

Crystal Ray is so popular in Associated Content that many writers are writing about her. Can you imagine having so many writers writing about your achievement? It is easier to get in page views when the whole writing community is advertising for you.

However, do not forget the years of hard work before reaching the first million page views.

5. Robert Dougherty

Robert Dougherty is one of the most prolific writers in Associated Content. He is considered a late comer in Associated Content, since he joined in January 2008.

That means in three short years, he produces 5,394 articles with total page views of 16,321,284.

That means he writes about 1,800 articles per year, which is about five articles per day.

If you think that writing more articles means lower quality, you are wrong. The success of Robert Dougherty shows that it is possible to maintain high quality despite the quantity of content.

Robert Dougherty writes mainly news, including celebrity news, and sports.

There are many more writers with ten million page views. The problem is in finding out their total page views. This list is definitely not conclusive.

Not all writing sites display the page views of the writers as prominently as Associated Content and Ezinearticles.

The most important thing to us is the knowledge that ten million page views is within our reach.

What can we learn from all the writers listed above?

1. Love writing

All of them love to write. Without the love of writing, there is simply no way to sustain the effort throughout the years.

All the writers have their niches. Some airs their opinions. Some writes about sports and news. Some writes about household stuff and recipes.

2. Quantity

You will never find a writer just ten articles and getting ten million page views from the articles.

All those writers with ten million page views have a few thousand articles.

Even if you need to write more than Lance Winslow (more than ten articles per day), you will get the ten million page views.

3. Do not waste time

All those top writers do not waste time in forums. They do not waste time making comments, and hoping for a return comment to their articles.

If they want to express an opinion, they simply write another article.

Time management is important.

4. Money is a motivator

Most writers write for money. In fact, most writers with million page views write for money. The minute Associated Content stops paying, most of the writers will take down the content, and publish elsewhere.

Lance Winslow is an exception because he is rich. He is rich enough to retire in his 40s.

There is no short cut to success. You have to work hard, work consistently with the right techniques, and wait for success.
