Nanowrimo Update 11/2/11

Slow and steady wins the race, right? In January…

So, yesterday was more unproductive than the first. However, I had church last night. That was a big chunk of time. I also was pretty productive in some other areas. For example:

  • I published a few articles on Triond. That took some time.
  • While my computer was being slow and I wasn’t able to open a lot of tabs, I checked my email, set up my UChicago account, and looked through some college blogs about the dorms and applications. That was worth doing.
  • I ate dinner! That’s important!

After church, I had the idea to look over my original draft from seventh grade. Of course, I got home at 9:20 and had to shower, so I didn’t start reading it until about ten. After I read some of that, I did manage to write about 400 words. It’s a slow start, but I’ll catch up easily.

When I read over the draft, I realized that it didn’t suck as much as I thought it did. Check out this line I forgot I wrote:

“He gave her a hug. Kissing would come later — sad times were for sad gestures.”

Awe! :’(

Anyway, thanks for all the encouragement, guys! If it weren’t for NaNoWriMo and the motivation I get from updating daily, I would never stick to it as well as I do.

For anyone who hasn’t been keeping up, here’s what I’ve been doing:Update 11/1/11
