My Google Adsense Earnings Just Crossed $10.00!

It took me years to cross $10 not because it was tough but because I didn’t care about it. Since March this year I did something that made my blogs earn from Adsense regularly to reach $10 today!

My relationship with Google Adsense was not a simple one. Even before I joined Triond, I had applied for Google Adsense because I had opened my blogs (1. intersting things blog and 2. writing articles online blog) when I was writing for Helium (.com) site. However my first application was rejected because I didn’t give the url of this blog but a different website on a subdomain. After that I tried again this time with the blog url although it too did not have any post. But it was accepted. Confused with that I didn’t understand what was happening.

I spent sometime at good old writingup.com where I found that these ads do not earn a cent. After that site crashed because administrator chose not to pay for maintenance of the site, I learned how to place those ads and placed on blogger blogs. Still they did not earn a cent. They were earnings cents once in a month or two but not consistently. I figured it won’t work and ignored it for a year.

After a year I checked my adsense and it showed that my blog had indeed earned a couple of dollars with clicks once every two months. After some study I concluded that it works slowly.

Until recently when Triond integrated Adsense into our articles I did not get serious about Adsense. I did not enable adsense on my articles at Triond because there were reports of not being able to disintegrate it once you integrate. Before taking the risk with Adsense at Triond I wanted to try them at blogger.

After reading reports of increased earnings of fellow Triond writers I studied what is causing them. It was the placement of ads within the text. That ensured that the ads are in context of the articles (main text of the page) and also more probable for being noticed by the reader.

Immediately I searched for blogger hacks to place ads inside text (called inline ads) and could place ads only just before the text and after the text. It worked like magic and one blog consistently earned a cent per day which gradually grow to 2 per day. It is not high but it showed that there is long term potential.

Especially the potential was in the observation that eCPM (earnings per thousand impressions) were sometimes very high when compared to eCPM of Triond or Bukisa without Google Adsense. If it repeats more times, earnings will be more.

After crossing $10 the next thing to do is to setup bank account connection to Google Adsense account and also fill the tax related form. Once that is done successfully it can be taken to the next level – write more and earn more.

Conclusion (Message to the Reader)

Once again I am sharing this information with you so that it shouldn’t take years for you to reach a specific amount of earnings in Adsense. All I had to do was to make up mind that it can work and study why it is working for other and not mine. Take the extra step to look for the technology (placement of ads etc.) and the traffic (content) that is needed to bring things to real. If it worked for me it can work for you.
