My First 20 Days of Triond

·         “Hey I’m going to say a secret. Don’t say anybody, ok?”

·         “What is it?”

·         “You know we can earn money online by writing articles. There’s a website named ‘TRIOND’ in which you get paid in U.S. dollars.”

·         “AWESOME. WE’LL START RIGHT AWAY.”

Well, this was the main scoop which took place between me and my one of my close buddies till date 3 years back. Earning money online; sounds fantastic, isn’t it? And me being then 16 then, it would have been awesome to earn in dollars (for dollars have great value in India) and brag about my earnings. So I decided to give it a shot. I had decided to hit the words ‘www.triond.com’.

My friend gave me the book in which all information on blogging, Triond, Google Adsense, etc everything was present. I read it. Me and my friend one day went to the café and finally created our site at Triond, Gmail and Blogger by the name ‘COOL ROKRS’ (I know sounds bit stupid). Then was the next step: Writing and Publishing. We had first just copied and pasted the information from net and gave it for review. And for all of you know, IT WAS REJECTED. Then with some brain scratching, I wrote some articles, and even that was REJECTED because of many mistakes and all. Then to publish easily, we wrote some stupid poems. 10 poems and that’s it, we gave up. Why? There seemed no hope to survive for us, for we received only 1 or 2 views per day.

This was my first encounter with Triond.com. Didn’t well went, probably we didn’t knew what to do. Maybe I wasn’t that acknowledged about writing, grammar, etc; we didn’t make any friends, for friends are those who are the most important asset on Triond. They guide us and encourage us to write via their views and comments. Having an internet connection at home also posed a problem for me back then. Whatever it was, I felt I couldn’t do it. I lost my hope and spirit and left it where it was: Cool Rokrs with 10 poems (THE ACCOUNT STILL EXIST TODAY)

3 years, I’m nineteen now. 3 years I have never even thought of Triond. My friend and I would talk about it sometimes, for he started his new account. He has published now 120 articles. But then, I wasn’t interested. I had my downfall in life; with family, with friends and with studies. Two years of misery and I was left all alone. So I read books; as much as I could to satisfy my emptiness. Book lives are so awesome and wonderful, when you get deep into the story; you feel you’re the main lead. I knew much deep now about the genres of writing. But still, I never thought back to come here again.

31st of July, 2012. I was surfing on the internet. There came my friend’s call, “Hey we have a party. Bring some money.” and when I checked my wallet, IT WAS EMPTY. An empty wallet is more worst that onion. I still don’t know why and how, but my hands typed the same text that I typed 3 years ago: ’www.triond.com.’ There was the site; I created my new Triond and PayPal accounts. But still, I didn’t have the writer’s spirit in me yet. I was going to do all this for money. (You can see my first 5-6 articles are useless. I did that to apply for Google Adsense). In the very start; I had 3 fans, which I made them, my friends. One was a photographer and the other was a frequent writer with lots of friends.

Then I discovered a fact that I didn’t knew 3 years ago. TO ACTIVATE GOOGLE ADSENSE, ONES TRIOND ACCOUNT SHOULD BE ATLEAST ACTIVE FOR 6 MONTHS! What the….. My morale should have been down, but it didn’t. I had made up my mind now. 3 years ago, I left this without even trying. Now I’m going all out, TILL THE END. And it was then I really started writing and posting some pictures I had. To my luck, all my articles were well published; gaining 15-20 views each. Enough for a good start, isn’t it?

Days passed, I made many friends. I saw many users who had published 100, 500, etc articles with 1,000,000 views, 500,000 views, 50,000 views, etc. some even had the badges like ‘QUALIFIED FOR AUGUST 2010’, ‘QUALIFIED FOR DECEMBER 2010’, etc. But this gave more excitement, for now I intend to trend along Triond in time. My views increased. For a day, it went 30-35 views and I was pleased. For an amateur point of view, 35 in start were OK. Then came my birthday, 12th August; I guess my birthday bought me luck; because ever since then, I haven’t went down in my ‘VISIT TRENDS’ graph. From 12th August I have had 59, 89, 140, 173, 187, and 360 and for 18th August it is 532 views per day till now. (Now earnings is quite pitiful, just $0.3).

20 days on Triond, have been more than special. The people on Triond have made it special for me i.e. all my viewers and friends. Just 20 days and I already have 1700 views overall this month. All I would like to say is ‘THANK YOU’ to all viewers and friends of mine on Triond. I finally got what I was searching for: A WRITER SPIRIT IN ME. And this time I’M HERE TO STAY.
