Michael Jackson Saved My Life

Michael Jackson really did save my life, there have been so many times when I have just wanted to give up on things. However every time I listened to a Michael Jackson song or watched a Michael Jackson video, I just remember that he never gave up he worked and worked until he perfected his craft, therefore I should do the same. 

I went through my life, kind of doing what other people have expected of me, however I made a decision a few years back to change my life and do what my heart was telling me. I decided I wanted to be a writer from the tender age of about six. However I never pursued my dreams, I studied and had a conventional job for a few months. I ran a PR company, very small but relatively successful.  PR also involves a lot of writing so I got to practice my skills, I got to hang out with a lot of journalists and music industry types. I realised that my passion was actually in writing. This is when I remembered something Michael Jackson had said, and that was:

“If you want something badly enough, work hard for it, study the greats and make it greater”. 

I knew then, that I basically had to put everything aside and just be what God intended me to be, and that was a writer. I set up on my own as a professional copywriter, after having studied a course on this particular subject. I am now the co owner of a professional copywriting business and I am living my dream. 

When I think about Michael Jackson, although towards the end of his life he was not portrayed in the most positive light. I still believe that he was a genius, I still believe that Michael Jackson inspired millions of people all around the world. I believe that we all have the power within us to inspire and change lives, like Michael Jackson we have to work hard and focus to be considered one of the greats and go down in history. 

I don’t know about you, but I want to go down in history.
