Meeting Your Clients Needs as Opposed to Your Own Writing Style

There is quite a difference between writing your own articles and meeting the needs of a client. It is an interesting learning experience.

When I accepted my ghost writing job I did so with a wee bit of apprehension. After all writing for a client is vastly different that writing for ones self. When I write articles for publishing sites like here on Triond I get to chose the subject matter the tone of my writing and the exact writing style I wish to use for each and every article.

You simply don’t have those options when writing for a client. Clients know what they want and not only do they chose the topic but many times they chose the style of writing and the tone they want you to use. They also have requirements as to how many keywords they would like you to have in each article and where they would like them placed.

When I began my first article, I felt very restricted trying to meet all these demands, simple as they were. I simply was not use to writing in a set style dictated by someone else. This made the entire writing experiences somewhat challenging.

I found myself taking much longer to write the article than it should have taken simply because I was unsure of myself. However, I got through the article and eventually posted it.

The client in this case was a very kind individual who took the time to message me and let me know that my article was exactly what he was looking for. The feedback gave me a little more confidence in writing my second article.

I am now finding that while I would not want to contain all my writing to meeting the expectations of others that I enjoy this type of writing as it does provide a new challenge.

Surprisingly, in a few short days I have learned a lot more about keyword optimization and plan on trying some of this in my own writing and seeing if it increases my views.

I have also learned that no matter how hard I work to perfect my writing, there is always more to learn and many more new challenges that lie ahead. I guess that what is holds the interest of every writer. The fact that no matter how much we write, how much we learn it never grows old because there is always new things to learn right around the corner.

It is an interesting profession or hobby to be sure and one that keeps most of engrossed and returning to the keyboard day after day.
