It has taken me an incredible amount of effort to build up a fan base of well over 1,000 here on triond, and these days I can pretty confident of getting several hundred views daily.

What is it that motivates you to write stuff for posting on the web? Whatever your reasons, money might well play a big part in your writing life, and let’s face it, we all like to be rewarded for our efforts, whatever field they come in. But you will not make loads on money writing for triond, unless you can get several thousand views EVERY day, and that just ain’t going to happen.
I have been slavishly posting on this site for nearly two years now, on average 50 to 100 posts each month, spending plenty of time every single day promoting my efforts on twitter, facebook, stumbleupon, digg etc., just to encourage more viewers, but the truth is that our site does NOT feature high on the google rankings, so despite a membership of over 200,000, it will NOT guarantee you views to your work. You need to work very hard for those ALL the time, believe me.
It has taken me an incredible amount of effort to build up a fan base of well over 1,000 here on triond, and these days I can pretty confident of getting several hundred views daily whether I post new stuff or not, so there will always be residual income, but in proportion to the work put in, it is pretty miserable. That is why I keep right on posting new stuff – to maintain that interest in my work – but I also acknowledge that the ONLY way to make more money for your writing is to share it as widely as you can, and I found that posting on wikinut – who allow you to re-post triond stuff there – it’s great.

Above is the URL you need to go to, and just to give you a flavour of my own experience there, so far in August I have had in excess of 50,000 views there. I admit that the pay is lousy, but the money is not the issue for me, but rather the massive hike in my web profile as a writer given by these thousands of extra views to the stuff that my fans at triond are also seeing. For that reason alone you could do no better than signing up to wikinut. More views equals more fans, and over time more recognition and more money.
Of course, that is not the only way you can increase your earnings potential. Those who have facebook accounts get no reward for their membership there, but there is a truly brilliant social site called matesgate that actually do pay you just for being a member, and joining is of course free. Now to be fair, the amount you can earn there depends solely upon how much effort you put in, but I can easily make $20 a month for less than an hour a day – so it compares favourably with triond – and if you find that the multitude of different activities there appeal to you, then there is no reason why you could not make a lot more. Another string to your money bow to be had by going to – http://www.matesgate.biz/refs?tonyleather
If you have questions there, site administrator Paul Williams is a very approachable and friendly guy who does a brilliant job, and he will happily answer your queries. He and I ran an experiment in writing which resulted in his creating a writing arm to the site – dubbed articleGate – which provides you with another string to your writing bow as it again offers the chance to expose your work to an even wider audience. Pay there is, as yet pretty minimal, but as it grows this will also improve, so I would think it well worth your while – as a writer – to join this site as well and get posting. Just go to – http://www.articlegate.biz/referral/7777773f
Of course you may be reading this as someone not yet writing for triond, and if so I would like to ask you why not? This is a huge site with a vast membership that actually DOES pay you ON TIME EVERY MONTH, not something you get from every site you might write for, and while the pay is not fantastic, it is a decent enough reward, which is why I like writing for this site. If you fancy having a go, then just visit – http://www.triond.com/rw/450639 and get yourself signed on,
At the end of the day, you have to BUILD yourself a following over time, if you genuinely want to succeed, and that means casting your net as widely as you can. You ONLY make MORE MONEY with MORE EFFORT, so take advantage of everything that is on offer, and see your writer rep start to climb. The rest is down to you.

very good informative article. That’s a lot of fans. I’m not at 100 or more views daily yet, but it is now increasing to more like 50 or more views daily which is better than the 20 views I was getting. I had time this last week to post 11 articles in one day, a bunch in another day and a few yesterday. I’m not sure how many I can squeeze in during the next few days while my daughter is now home again and wants to confiscate my laptop.

Do you spend time promoting other Triond members income, by reading and commenting on articles, also? Helping ohers along the way, to succeed?
