Textbroker is a professional writing site when you accept assignments and clients purchase your articles.
A fellow writer told me about Textbroker a couple of weeks it ago. It is a writing site where you actually pick up assignments from an open bin, complete the assignment in the amount of time given you and then submitted it. If the client accepts it you get paid. If not you have at least one opportunity to rewrite the assignment after which the client can then either accept it, reject it, or ask for further rewrites.
I check out the site, took the writing test they ask you take and have written 8 articles. The pay is not great but is much more than the few cents you make on Triond for some articles. However, once the client accepts your article he has purchased all rights to it and you cannot ever earn another penny off it. There are pros and cons of writing for this site.
Advantages
It gives you experience writing for clients meeting their needs.
It gives you experience meeting deadlines
Many of the articles are 300-400 words making it easier to meet the deadlines than longer articles would.
It simply is another source of income for those looking for other sources of income.
If a client likes your work he can directly request you personally and you can then negotiate with him for payment giving you the opportunity to make more.
It gives you an additional experience to add to your writing resume showing you can meet clients needs.
Periodically your articles are reviewed and you have the opportunity of writing at a higher grade which means more pay.
Disadvantages
You will probably make less than $1.00 per hundred words starting out.
The site is only for those who live in the United States though they are trying to figure out how to go international.
No matter how well a client likes your work they have no say in your advancement to higher paid status.
The review of your work is done by the editors of textbroker only after a client has accepted your article, which means that any suggestions for that article comes after the article is sold.
While textbrokers pay is somewhat lower than one would hope for expect this site will give beginning professionals a foot in the door and a chance to get some professional experience without the stress of having to write a certain number of articles in a week.

Nice article. I’m from India and therefore, working with textbroker is impossible as of now. They only accept US citizens.

Thanks for the info. I am not American, so I presume I might not go there, but it is a bit like the Helium market place.

If it’s only for US citizen then it’s no use of me. But I like the info you’ve provided here. Hopefully this site will go international soon.

My problem with that site is that you can only make so much per article. If you write someone a great article and they buy it for a few bucks and then get tons of visits from it they make the money. Some of my articles on here are still popular after 3 years.

I’ll let B know about it as I hate writing assignment sites. They never have anything I particulary care to write about. lol
