Letter Sent by Beethoven, Discovered in Germany

A letter sent by the famous composer Ludwig van Beethoven in 1823 was recently discovered in Germany. Its value was estimated at about 150,000 euros.

In the pages of the letter, the sender, Ludwig van Beethoven, asks aid recipient colleague Franz Anton Stockhausen, about finding sponsors for the composition “Missa Solemnis”, send the website of BBC TV channel.

“My little income and suffer disease that requires much effort,” complained the famous German composer, who died four years later.

The letter was kept by Stockhausen’s great-granddaughter a music teacher in Frankfurt, who died in 2011. The document, which covers six pages, was part of the property donated by Brahms Institute of Lubeck woman.

“Beethoven was not a songwriter with a beautifully written. The letter is spontaneous, wrote some stuff, then cut them, his thoughts change during the writing,” explained the Brahms Institute representatives.

From 18 January to 29 January, the letter will be exhibited at the Museum Institute.
