Is Triond Using Google Adsense Less?

Ah, I miss the good old days of Triond. Have they gone forever? I hope not, but it seems so.

I don’t write much for Triond these last few months, but that didn’t bother me too much because my number of views were running steady and even when I wasn’t making much money through Triond directly, I was still making about $50 a month from Adsense because of Triond.

However, a few months ago, all that changed.

Now I’m only making about between $15 and $20 per month from Adsense on Triond.

I’ve scoured my Triond numbers and my Adsense numbers. My number of viewers are staying about the same. However, my number of clicks on Adsense ads have dropped tremendously.

I wondered why this must be, then I noticed on another Triond article (sorry, don’t remember which one) that the writer pointed out she or he was seeing far fewer Adsense ads on Triond pages.

This got me to looking at some of my own articles, and sure enough, there are fewer Adsense ads than there used to be.

Why would Triond do this? The pay is already practically nothing at the site, and now our potential earnings have been cut even more.

My guess would be Triond got a better deal with another advertising company, or maybe the Triond staff is experimenting with other advertisers.

I don’t know, but either way, something needs to be done.

For a long while now, Triond has been a sinking vessel. Then this happens. If the powers-that-be don’t want to fool with Triond any more, please, go ahead and just close the site. It’s practically not worth using any more. The pay is worse than ever, and without the forums or some other easy way for Triond writers to contact one another, there is less chance of beginning writers learning from others.

On the other hand, if the top folks at Triond are interested in bailing out this sinking ship, any time now would be right for trying something that actually helps the site’s writers, something that actually draws in new writers and readers. As is, there’s little reason to make use of Triond any more, which is one reason I no longer write here very often, though I do love the site (specifically it’s simplicity of use, and I do miss the old crowds that used to hang out here).

Please, someone, anyone, at Triond. Do something! Close it or fix it! Just do something!

I like what you say do something or shut down and I second that because there is no point in going on like this. If there is any human being still there at Triond (which there must be because the profits have to go somewhere right) PLEASE HEAR OUR PLEA

I think the article you are referring to is by Shelpeare who pointed out the fall in earnings and according to his research, Triond did not appear to be using Adsense on some sites.
I wrote to getsatisfaction and asked which Triond sites were not using Adsense. Surprisingly I got a prompt reply to say that Adsense was on all Triond sites.
Everywhere you look there are articles complaining that the money to be earned writing on Triond has fallen off a cliff.
To me, the unusually prompt reply I got suggests Triond are a bit nervous, many many writers have looked at the figures and just disappeared. What’s left is a load of second language pieces which are only vaguely understandable.
    Prognosis, not good.

The article you are referring to is my article at
The only sites that I see appearing in my Google Adsense “Performance Report” in my Google Adsense account is Trifter, Therealowner, Scienceray, Notecook and Bookstove. I do not write on all twenty-something Triond sites but I can easily check using the Ghostery tool I spoke about in my article. I may do a more detailed article about this but I am concentrating on increasing my portfolio at Expertscolumn which pays much better at this time.

By the way, why is it that Google Adsense ad requests for any given article are always three, four, five times the number of the page views that Triond records?

Thanks all for your responses. It seems to me there has been some limiting of Adsense on Triond, whether the Triond staff wants to admit it or not.

Yet another hole in the bottom of a sinking ship, a ship that was once interesting and fun.

For whatever reason, Triond seems content to run gibberish and plagiarism and is making no effort to keep its better writers.

I have one article on HealthMad that has had 106 views so far this month and earned only 1 cent from Triond. In November last year I had 427 and earned 10 cents.
I don’t know what the problem is, I just know I don’t like it, and I certainly not going to post anything new here until the situation improves.

It is rather terrible. I had a larger folder of unpublished articles so I started to upload them to the site. I’m averaging around 800 hits a day right now, but making about 7 cents off of that. That might be the worst possible payout for any revshare website I’ve seen.

Except for one Triond sub-site, the rest of my articles do not come with Adsense ads anymore.

I believe you will earn more on a per view basis if you closed the adsense option. It has been more than a year since I wrote anything.
