Intrepid

Intrepid defines itself by saying “resolutely fearless; dauntless”. In my own words, Intrepid means not to be intimated or determined to not to be fearless or afraid. In my pursuit of my career of an IT Specialist, I have seen many obstacles in my path for example, (daycare issues, no business attire for interviews, no transportation, and lack of experiences) but I do not let it stop my quest for a better future for my family. I decided to go back to school to further my education due to the bad economy and job markets that were not hiring for the field that I used to work in.

My education at Tesst College is sometimes very stressful but I don’t let it intrepid me because I have set a goal when I being this journey in July 2010, that I will do my very best in my studies and get a well-grounded into the work-force field that my major requires. When it comes to my education, I put it first in my life. I feel in my soul that I must over achieve at everything I do because I am a single mother of three children who need their mom for love and support. I have seen too many young mothers in the world who have the opportunity to better themselves and they don’t. I want a better life for my children.

My current situation is not a pretty one. I am unemployed, and broke. I feel worthless and useless but I use my situation and my feelings to pursue my education to my fullest potential possible. I have currently have my A+ Certification, a 4.00 GPA and I fix computers for a fee on the side. When I have free time, I study all of my computer information so I can better in my craft. In conclusion, I can honestly say that I love computers and I will be whatever it takes to make a career out of what I love to do.
