Interesting Careers

Local teen magazine Star Point recently conducted a survey among secondary school student to find out which jobs they considered interesting.Two hundred and fifty students participated in the survey; of those 100 were male and 100 again were woman.

        In the technology field,35% said they would find the job of an aeronautical engineer,vehicle designer, sound engineer and so on.Not surprisingly, the majority of those who chose these jobs were boys.In the entertainment field 25% said that being an actor, dancer, singer or film director would be “a dream come true.”In the travel field, 15% said they would find the job of travel consultant, tour guide or hotel manager interesting.In the media field, 7% said they would like to be TV journalists, travel writers or newspaper reporters.In other field such as business, medicine, and sport, the remaining 18% of the respondents said that they might consider becoming a business operator, doctor or professional athlete.

        One hundred and ten students said that their first choice of career would be related to jobs that interest them.The remainder said that parental advice and salary expected would determine the careers they choice.
