How to Write More Articles

As I am fairly new to Triond I have not yet published many of my articles on this site. I have however picked up some handy tips and habits from writing previously, which I hope you will benefit from.

Spread out your Articles

As a keen physicist I enjoy writing about space, and our place in the cosmos. Many of my articles could have been compiled into making one much larger Article, but I decided to spread the information out and beef up each individual subject with extra information.

This obviously means that I should acquire more views as people are now clicking on all 3 pages for the information that they could otherwise have got on one page. This is a great way of boosting views, if used correctly.

You need to get the balance just right. You need to know what should be the end of a paragraph, and what should be the end of an entire article. People aren’t going to keep changing page every paragraph after only 20 seconds of reading, and on the other hand a 3000 word page is probably best divided into a number of subchapters. By getting the balance just right you can make sure you get the maximum amount of views for your work.

What you enjoy

When people write about what they enjoy, the writing comes more naturally which is what we want as a reader. Writing subjects which you are knowledgeable on is a lot easier, and a lot more rewarding mentally, as a writer.

Try it out yourself. Write a short article (even if you do not intend to publish it) about something you know a lot about and enjoy. The writing should seem to flow naturally and fluently, which makes for easier and more enjoyable reading. Now think of a subject that you know nothing about and do not enjoy (you may want to get facts from the internet). You should find it hard to put these facts into a neat paragraph of writing, or at least harder than you did than with the first article.

Writing about what you enjoy will improve you writing style and therefore should generate you more views .

Information

Although I enjoy reading articles which are fiction, I must admit I much prefer reading articles which are informative. I am more easily drawn to an article which will give me extra information, which I think will benefit me (even if it doesn’t). I think this is true for many readers, if not all.

Writing articles which help people with common problems is a good way to get views, as people are keen to get help with these problems, and a free 2 minute article cant hurt. 

Join the community

Another easy, and often ignored, way to get views is to become active in the online community. The amount of times I have viewed someone’s content, who has commented on an article of mine. Before I have even realized, I have read through 10 of their articles. I think it is fair to say that this works both ways. Comment on peoples work, make friends, and share articles.
