Before we begin, you need to understand that for an article to have success, there are two elements that need to be evaluated. The first is overall popularity and gaining views.
I’ve addressed many methods on how to gain views with my guide: “How to Get Rich Off of Triond”
Then, the second element is the quality of the article itself. Here are some methods to legitimize your article and strengthen it:
- Address a clear view, back up, and impacts. First, you have to be very clear in what you are advocating. Be direct. At that point, be absolutely certain that you provide some back up to those claims. With a claim and back up, the point will be legitimized. Then you have to be clear as to why your point even matters with clear impacts. For example, if you want to back up why a video games are bad, first say that they waste time. This is backed up by the fact that video games take a long time to complete. This matters because time is important for school and other things. In any essay, be sure to make claims, back them up clearly, and show why they matter. In any good article, you need to incorporate these elements in your writing to succeed.
- Incorporate transitions. Good articles need transition words. Otherwise the incentive to read the article itself may be lost. Transitions such as “another” and “finally” are absolutely critical to the writing process. Though this may seem rudimentary and intuitive, this point is almost always overlooked in internet writing. If you want your article to stand out from the rest, incorporate transitions into your writing.
- Address opposing viewpoints. Humans in this world are skeptical people. After showing the arguments supporting your point, show the other side. If you want to improve your writing, you have to show opposing view points to your arguments and then refute them. Show the other side, but then conversely show why your side is more important. Good writing always addresses opposing viewpoints but refutes them in the process. This is absolutely critical if you want to improve your articles
- Use strong vocabulary. The mistake in many writers is that they use weak words such as “like” or “things”. Perhaps I may have broken those rules myself. However, the overall impact is that you have to use strong vocab words in order to legitimize your writing. Powerful words such as, “accomplish” instead of “do” goes a long way.
- Be concise. Remember that articles shouldn’t be really long. Make it short enough to be interesting but long enough to cover the subject matter. Be short and punctual and you will build a strong viewer base in the process.
Overall, the writing process is not as difficult as it may seem. Be smart in your writing and use these tips to improve your articles overall.
