Writing great articles means more income for you.
As you sit at your keyboard getting ready to write your next “million dollar” article, You Need to keep a few things in mind. The most important being, “Know your audience”. Exactly who are you trying to reach as readers? A small group who are interested in a specific topic such as home improvement buffs or a larger demographic audience. Are you writing for a subscription publication that caters to seniors or maybe to moms of young children? As you sit at the keyboard you need to know who your target demographic group is.
Let’s say you are writing for a senior group. Topics such as “How to breast feed a baby” really aren’t appropriate for the audience you are trying to reach. However, “How to maintain a healthy blood pressure” may be exactly the topic that will garner a lot of readership.
Next you will want to make sure your article is interesting and not difficult to read. Readability is very important. The interesting part is self explanatory. Who wants to read a boring article?
If your goal is to reach as many readers as possible, make the article attractive. Use images and use a title that will sum up what the article is about.
Remember to use spell check and be sure to appropriately punctuate.
By following these rules you will produce articles that will generate a following as well as income for you.
