A guide with instructions on how to write a book.
If you want to write a story or book then follow these instructions. There’s no real way of writing a book that will always work or will suit everybody but this will just help you if you want to write a story and don’t know where to begin. So lets start.
It’s always good to have an idea in mind. If you start writing something from nowhere and haven’t planned anything out, then your story is going to be confusing and uninteresting.
So what to do. Start by writing your idea out on a piece of paper just to remind you of what your story is based on. Get another piece of paper and start writing out a paragraph on what the whole thing is going to be. If it’s too short or too big then don’t worry short books are good for people who just want to read something quick and long books are good for people who like reading and want to get lost in the book or really wanted to read it.
After you have written your paragraph then start writing lines, these lines are going to be chapters. use as many chapters as needed. Too many short chapters will make the reader annoyed and find the book not that well written. It’s okay to have some short ones that just shows that there wasn’t much on that topic and you want to write about the next thing, but too many long chapters will make the reader bored in all the talk about the one piece of the book. Have decent chapter lengths.
When you have that done start expanding on those lines that you’ve written and soon you will have your book ready for reading. Make sure that your book doesn’t have any spelling mistakes or doesn’t make sense. The last you want to do is make a book and spend tons of time on it then give it to someone to read then find out that half of it doesn’t add up. Always read over what you’ve written.
I’ve written some short stories but I’ve never published them. I vaguely know anything about the work you have to go through when you publish a book but if you really want to publish what you’ve written then you can find out more from someone else or from someone who actually has published a book.
