How to Make Money Online Writing Content for These Sites

A site by site guide to the good, the bad, and the ugly in the Paid-to-Write world.

Let’s start with what we are using right now. Triond.com is a tried and true place to write, publish, and earn residual income. Personally, my earnings have not been very great but I do earn, so I hold to the belief that if I were to put in the effort I’m sure top earnings are very possible. Do they really pay? YES! How so? Through Paypal, which is good because it means you have instant access to your earnings.

My grade for Triond.com – A-

It gets an A because they truly do pay and since I have not exactly flooded it with my own work there is no telling if earnings could ever be huge, but I don’t see why not.

It gets a minus because for the same amount of articles I have earned more on other sites.

My final thought: If you have quantity as well as quality I see no reason why Triond.com couldn’t be a top money making site for you.

eHow.com

While there is some speculation that the process to phase users out has already begun, it certainly is not complete. So if you signed up today if the speculation is true you probably have 6 months to a year to earn all you can. If rumors are false get in now and enjoy good residual income for the rest of your life. They do pay fairly well, quality counts but article numbers are a big factor in how much you earn. Do they really pay? YES! How so? Paypal.

My Grade for eHow.com – A+

It gets an A+ because for relatively easy to write How-to articles you just can’t get any better earnings than eHow. With a super high Google ranking and overall user popularity ad revenue is better than ever over at eHow.

My final thought: While guidelines have gotten a little stiffer there is still lot’s of money to be earned at eHow. I would advise keeping all of your work saved on your computer just in case users are phased out, in which case you can take the by then deleted articles over to my next site.

Bukisa.com

Another site that pays users for articles, How-to’s as well as regular any topic articles. Guidelines are simple and easy to follow and there are no strict rules about posting work there that you have posted elsewhere. With a little rearranging they will gladly accept “copy” articles of your own work of course. Do they really pay? YES! How so? Paypal.

My Grade for Bukisa.com – B

I do not lower their grade based on earnings, they are not bad, but not great either, and it again comes down to quantity. Notice I do not mention quality. But hey, easy money enough said.

My Final thought: Like the sites before you really can earn money there if you are willing to really pour your content into it. However, I do have to state for the serious writer looking to hone their skills…well they just don’t turn much down.

Associated Content

You have probably all heard of this one but I can’t do an article on money earning sites without mentioning it. Associated Content is a site you have to be approved for in order to publish through them, while approval is not as simple as ABC, it is not as difficult as some others. And I can assure you they have just as much trash as any other site. Do they pay? YES! How so? Paypal or Check in the mail.

My Grade for Associated Content –B+

I have no choice but to give them a B+ while I would love to give them an A, I just can’t. The fact that they don’t just let any person of the street write their content is a plus, BUT all in all Associated Content is nothing more than a popularity and “Who is best at advertising” contest. The concept sounds fair but what it truly boils down to is the majority of brand spanking new users haven’t got a prayer of making good money.

My Final thoughts: Try for it, why not, every penny counts right? I think so anyway. A penny earned is a penny saved. I DO however, prefer saving dollars. If you think you can do well there, go for it, they pay and there is no reason not to. But do keep in mind that after a certain number of approved articles you will then have a lot more leniency in what you publish, for some this is great for others not so much. Like I said, there is trash there too.

Suite101.com

Oh, dear what to say about Suite101. Earnings are very good, getting in is not very easy. Yours truly was turned down and that should speak for itself to my loyal fans…are there any loyal fans??? Hellllooooooooo! Oh, well I assure you I can still give a very fair review of them because I have talked to a great number of their users to bring you the scoop. (At the time it was to bring ME the scoop, but since I’ve been turned down I’ll share) Do they pay? YES! How so? Paypal or with a check in the mail.

My Grade for Suite101.com A

They get just an A because I have sour grapes. I’m kidding! It’s an A  ,the plus is just invisible. If you can pass their approval Suite101 is a GREAT place to write and earn cash. They pay their contributing writers very well, so if you can pass the test (hint: they like stuffy third person reportage style WITH references…maybe that will help you get in) they are one of the best for earning cash writing online.

My Final thoughts, in spite of being turned down I know a good money maker when I see it. If you can get in, you can really earn money. They have the added benefit of having editors on board to help you fine tune your writing as well as writer workshops. So truly it is a great place. If you can get in. Let my failure help you. When you apply have two sample articles 400-600 words in length written in a factual third person reportage style and be ready to list those references. And while they do not require a resume they do ask that you tell them about yourself and pointedly your experience so if you have a slam dunk in your experience bag, now is the time to use it. Drat it! I should have used mine. Sigh, NEXT!!!

For my last few suggestions, I myself have not tried them but I do have it on VERY good authority that they do in fact pay, and while I will still be grading them based on what I have heard about them and how well I have been told they do or do not pay, there will not be any more fun first hand accounts.

Infobarrel! – C:  Easy to get into DOES pay…but not that well. Quantity counts.

Hub pages! – B+: Not too hard to get into, pays very well, a little more time consuming. Quality and Quantity count.

Helium.com – C: Another popularity contest, if you are good at quality, quantity, AND self advertisement it’s a good fit. Good pay depends on your ability to get views and votes.

Demand Studios – B: If you are interested in pay per article Demand Studios is fairly easy to get into. They give you the titles, you write the article strictly to their guidelines they pay you about $3 up front for each one and it is then published on one of their under sites.

With a site by site run down like this there is no reason not to try them all. Spread your content eggs all over the webs and watch the money roll in. If I come across any other legitimate Pay –to- Write sites I will set up a new list or edit this one. Check back often loyal fans…I know there has got to be SOME loyal fans out there….somewhere…
