Completing the comment section whenever provided is helpful to new writers. Keep it short, point out specifics, and click if you LIKE it.
Although I have been writing for many years, I do not consider myself a professional writer. Until I came across Triond, I have never had anyone really read my work. I have stories I would like to turn into novels, songs that I would like to give music to, poems I would love to share, but none are published. I have enjoyed writing on Triond, simply because I enjoy learning and sharing ideas with others. I am not making a living here, but one day it would be nice to build up to an additional income. I write on other sites like RedGage, Wikinut, and now Bukisa thanks to all the information from other articles written here on Triond.
The easy set up on Triond and Redgage make it more pleasurable to write on them. However, the comment section hardly gets used.
It is so much more helpful to hear what people think and mistakes one has made then to simply click and go. There is so little time nowadays it seems, but comments to me are precious. I am sure it is better to hear more than less.
“ Very Interesting” is a comment that doesn’t tell me anything since you did not click on the “ LIKE” button. Did the article bore you? Was it a topic that you did not care about? Did you read it all? I don’t know if that is asking too much for more details.
I prefer comments like :
“ It was very informative, but your presentation was dry. It needs more format, shorter paragraphs. The flow was good, but long.”
“ I disagree, I believe……but your article was well written and to the point.”
“ I agree, the comment section is way too brief and not really worth mentioning anything in it since doesn’t really generate anymore income. But I do find it helpful when I have a question for a writer.”
“ I have another way of …. perhaps I will expand your thoughts into another article. Or maybe you would like to. Have you thought about……..”
These are more specific and short comments. I don’t think writers want books in the comment section. I just think it is more helpful tool to let someone know more specific information that you liked about the article, the idea, the information presented, the grammar, and so forth.

So true! I totally agree with you. It is nice to get feedback from those that read your articles.
Have you tried reviewfuse? I think you may find it useful, though there’s no money in it and some reviewers do not do a good job at all. But, it works quite ok for me.
