Tried and tested formula.
In all honesty , when I first started writing for Triond I never expected to earn much revenue. I genuinely sought good honest constructive criticism and still do to this day.
I began writing when I was thirteen, sneaking downstairs in the early hours of the morning writing to my hearts content. When you share a bedroom with two sisters the worst thing you can do is switch the light on when they are fast asleep! Two against one isn’t a pretty sight!
I discovered Triond in Fenruary 2008 and to be honest forgot about it until the end of that year. I submitted more poems and slowly began to earn some dollars. It was a welcome couple of pounds(I’m British) but I wasn’t about to quit my day job. Casually I submitted pieces, some months more than others until those dollars/pounds began to build up quite nicely.
Towards the end of last year I began to write more and more on a daily basis. It has gotten into such a habit I literally can’t help myself for even a day. Ideas just constantly flood through my mind and I save them as a draft message on my mobile if I’m out and about, or scribble them down on a bit of paper.
Anyway in the last 4/5 months of last year my income leapt significantly from $30ish to now $150/ £95. It comes in handy and is such a nice boost to my income. The more you write the more you earn, it is as simple as that. Put the effort in and you will reap the rewards. Do it with all your heart for the love of writing, but if you want financial gain keep on publishing and good luck!

Invisible gamechanger, good luck with your writing
Your age is the perfect one to start writing, you are looking at everything with a fresh pair of eyes and the next few years will teach you alot and really shape you as a person. I wish I would have started writing for Triond when I was 14…I would no doubt have made the money my current job pays per month. I’m proof that persistance is the key, it might just be $150, but who knows what I’ll be getting this time next year

Hmm, I can relate to that. I’m currently thirteen and I’m sure my brothers would kill me if the lights went on early in the morning. It’s good to hear that simple perseverence is (one of) the best ways to go.

A great reminder that writing daily moves articles up with the search engines. I write for two other online publishers as well as beginning to write with Triond. This information is good to know because it didn’t look like I was going to even make a fifth of what I get paid from the other two publishers. Thank you again.
