History and Creativity

History and creativity by Srishti jha.

History and creativity….Do they sound familiar in anyway or are they completely diverse concepts. It is a truism to say that in history, as in all else, nothing stands still. It keeps rolling on. Whereas creativity is the essence beyond the words. History is forceful and expressive but when it comes to creativity, it shows willingness and variations. History can be specialized but creativity is inherent and closer to idealism. History is much of reality whereas creativity is away from it and closer to imagery.

But if one observes and thinks carefully, various commonalities can come up as far as these two interests are concerned. Both reveal life and changes taking place everywhere. They together disclose the past, structure the present, and envisage the future. In the artistic preview, they both beautify the mysteries and myths as well.

They are not actually related but they enhance and deepen each other in every probable way.

History gets more illustrious in presence of creative thoughts and in return, creativity gets more expressive and beautiful in the context of history. Both face criticism in terms of analyzing situations, reality and authenticity. History deals in craving for reality and creativity gives originality and shape to it. Both emerged from the creative faculty of mind which is constructed on our likes and dislikes. Both deal with destruction and integration of humanity and environment.

Power and vitality are the untied strings which connect the two orders and influence them. Mutually they bring in the perception of impermanence and certainty together, which no other two related disciplines can carry out together.
