Gratitude Journaling with a New Twist

Traditionally a gratitude journal is for things you already have, not what you want to bring in or change. Why not twist it about and write a gratitude journal for the things you want to create and see in your life. Why? Because conscious creation and the flow of universal abundance all work in the Now and not in the future; when you fool yourself into believing you already have what you want and are in a state of thankfulness your thinking changes to allow it come in.

A “gratitude journal” is a diary of sorts you keep for all the things you appreciate in your life big and small. Traditionally it is for things you already have, not what you want to bring in or change. Thanks to the suggestion of a few angelic friends, we are going to twist it about and write a gratitude journal for the things we want to create and see in our lives. Why? Because conscious creation and the flow of universal abundance all work in the Now and not in the future; when you fool yourself into believing you already have what you want and are in a state of thankfulness your thinking changes to allow it come in. To set the record straight I am by no means saying not to be grateful for what you do have in fact you may find you have more appreciation for them by the end of this. Sneaky huh? Sound like my friends had a good idea? Give it a shot and see for yourself. In order to make this stick and affect your subconscious programming you will need to write this list for the next 30 days successively. If you miss a day do not sweat it simply begin again until you make it through 30 days consecutively. To answer you question of why 30 days instead of 21; because of research done on neural chemistry in the brain and the length of time required to change it. This is why the journalism needs to be uninterrupted. Every time you stop prior to the end of those 30 days your brain resets itself back to where it was before you started. On this same note, the things you list in your journal need to be things you can believe or accept when they show up. List up to 21 things you are working on drawing into your life and keep in mind to start with smaller believable things that you will not be as resistant to accepting. You can always do another journal for the larger goodies once your thinking has had time to modify itself to accommodate them. If you find you are struggling to trust the items on your list, you can also work some of the previous exercises in from this site or from another source to find the underlying cause of your reluctance. Be sure to feel the gratitude for these things as already being in your life while you are writing them your emotions can make or break the effectiveness of this. If you need to stop and meditate, listen to music, read a book, etc. whatever it takes to put you in a good mood prior to doing this. Also, do not allow the excuse of having had a bad day put you off from it. Sit down and write out before hand what happened and how it made you feel to release the stress from the day, breathe and allow yourself lighten up then go work your magic in the journal.
