Blog comments are very important for bloggers. Getting more Triond comments can make a writer popular. If you get more comments, your article will do much better in terms of page views and earnings. Some readers may appreciate your article whereas some others may find faults in it. Some may post even harsh comments. Some jealous writers may attack you personally. As a Triond writer you may have your own views on Triond comments. I want to share my views on Triond comments with you. Please keep reading……
Writers love comments: Who will not love comments on their articles? Every Triond writer after publishing an article , eagerly looks for many sensible comments . It is a kind of recognition for their writing. Every writer longs for recognition. Of course we are here to make money writing. But if we get many good comments on our articles, that would be more than the monetary reward.

Sensible comments: You might take pains to create a quality article. When you publish a quality article, you will be happy if you get sensible comments. If a reader understands your article and then posts a relevant thought provoking comment, you will feel happy to respond to such comments. This is the best type of comment a writer can get. The comment itself can tell you whether they have read the article or not.
Commenting without reading articles: I agree that we get some standard comments such as “nice share”, “good share”, and so on. Triond writers can view it from two perspectives. You can say that it is totally wrong and they should better not comment than posting such meaningless comments. Or you you can be happy that at least they post some comment and increase your page views. Even such comments can increase your page views significantly and subsequently increase your overall earnings. They spend some time at least to comment, though they don’t read the articles. It is up to the Triond writer to be happy or unhappy with such comments.
The uses of comments: Lady Elena has nicely pointed out the uses of blog comments in her article http://webupon.com/web-talk/triond-articles-commenting-without-reading/. I agree with her that there are many advantages of blog comments. You can also create back links to your blogs. Some comments can increase your knowledge on the topic. Some comments may contain some useful links to popular articles on other sites.

Why don’t they read the articles?: They may not have enough time to read and then comment. I here want to appreciate Minister Marlene. She reads each word and comments with her heart and soul into it. But all can’t be like her. We are living in a fast world. We have many friends on Triond. If one of your friends is posting an article on “How to find the best dentist in Miami?”, you may not have interest to read the article, but still want to comment on your friend’s post, so what is wrong in giving a quick glance and say “nice share”?. Suppose if the same writer publishes an article say” Why Miami beach is the best in the world?”, you may have the interest to read it.In other words if you publish a irresistible article that has useful information for all Triond writers, they would definitely read the article and then comment.
Some points to mention here: There are many Triond writers who come from different countries, having different cultures, life styles and so on. Again every one has different interests. Sometimes, they really read the whole article and yet they finally have nothing else to say except “great share”, is that wrong? So, I won’t blame a Triond writer if he/she is giving me comments such as nice share etc because I would take it that my article did not stir their interest. I would still be thankful to them for giving me a page view and a comment. When you get huge page views, you are rated high by Google. Who knows, they may find some relevant ad on your web page and may view it after posting ” nice share” comment” resulting in higher Google ad sense earnings.

Conclusion: Please don’t get me wrong, I am not supporting comments posted without reading. You have all the rights to be unhappy with such comments. At the same time, if some Triond writers tolerate them and thank for the comments, well it’s their rights too. Let us appreciate good comments, need not criticize bad comments, it’s purely my opinion. Thanks for reading.

I think that good and bad comments together really have their uses. They either inspire you to keep doing what you are doing or inspire you to try and improve. So everything has their uses.
March 15th, 2011 at 12:41 pm
Very good points. I don’t mind the good or the bad but dislike the insulting!
March 15th, 2011 at 1:04 pm
well said, megamatt09, if you get negative rating you should take it as a challenge and come back with a big bang, good one, thanks.

And then there’s the derogatory comments from people who don’t agree with the article, so they find it necessary to personally attack the writer (these are usually from non-Triond members, or people who logged out to remain anonymous so they don’t have to actually stand behind their comments).

hi, anndavey650, I just ignore such people, they are just cowards, they comment hiding their original user name and comment as a guest. I pity them.
March 15th, 2011 at 1:10 pm
Yes, Jennifer Marre, they are cowards who hide their identity. Just ignore such low class people and keep up the good work dear friend.
March 15th, 2011 at 1:24 pm
I think you made a very good point there. If your article is good and attracts people they will read it and comment their views and even if they just write “Good share ” or ” nice post” I think it is just ok.
It will still provide you a little encouragement.
March 15th, 2011 at 1:57 pm
Thanks 4 sharing
March 15th, 2011 at 2:52 pm
Good points. I think that a comment at least says that the reader took the time to navigate to your article and I think most people read at least a few lines to determine if they like it or not. And you get the page view even if they choose not to comment.
March 15th, 2011 at 3:38 pm
Sometimes i write “nice share” or “well done”. Doesn’t men i do not read it. I might be in a hurry as you said or that is all i really feel like saying. Good comments make us feel like we’ve done very well and bad ones urge us to improve. Insulting ones (fortunately, I’ve not had any) should just be ignored.
March 15th, 2011 at 4:18 pm
Like you said if one has the time to read and comment, clicking on the article is good enough the kinds of comments received depends on an individual’ s opinion, which in many cases help, or if you don’t like what is mentioned don’t let it bother you, small things bother small minds, if they are jealous.

Vijayanths, good analysis.
March 16th, 2011 at 3:50 am
Very good points and point of view Vijayanths.
I do not mind the nice shares, nice posts, they are comments and I know that they help me in the end.
I like to make my comments personal and add my opinion, likable or not but I think it is better for the writer to get feedback either way.
Nice share

I love reading comments on my articles, no matter whether they are negative or positive. They are just expressing their views as how I have expressed mine. You definitely have made some nice points in this article.
March 16th, 2011 at 10:17 am
Negative comments are tolerable but being harsh unreasonably is not acceptable.
Its a proof that men are more jealous than women ..hahhaha…
March 16th, 2011 at 12:15 pm
You said it so well Anuradha Ramkumar, thanks.
March 16th, 2011 at 12:17 pm

I am immensely happy to note you like my articles.
March 18th, 2011 at 2:32 am
you adopted a liberal view on comments. and i largely agree with your views.
March 18th, 2011 at 4:41 am
Nice to hear that Pearl Wilson, thanks.
March 18th, 2011 at 7:11 am
Comments are very important. I hate to see when people are selling products and listing prices, but saying nothing in regards to the article content. Sometimes we may get comments we disagree with, but we keep in mind we all are different and have different values and backgrounds.
March 18th, 2011 at 9:51 am
hi, Betty Asphy, nothing wrong in giving negative comments. Harsh, rude and abusing comments can’t be tolerated. Thanks friend.
March 18th, 2011 at 10:23 pm
Don’t assume that all comments like “nice share” or “interesting ” means that the person commenting did not read your article. Many times people write these comments because when they read the article they either did not have much to say, didn’t like it but, did not want to say so, or are simply trying to read as many articles as they can and want you to know that they did read your article. I feel if someone takes the time to comment at all they probably at least skimmed over the article.
March 19th, 2011 at 12:57 am
Very well said, martie, That is what I have also written Sometimes, they really read the whole article and yet they finally have nothing else to say except “great share”, is that wrong?
