Frustration Can be Your Best Asset When It Comes to Music

Life is filled with obstacles and challenges. As an independent artist it takes a toll on even the greats. With this article I want to express to you why fustration can be your best asset as you face adversity.

I have seen people mix fustration with failure. Fustration is just a wake up call to change. Fustration is the voice telling you that this road is coming to a close. This is not failure. Failure is when you meet fustration head on, and can’t get passed it.

Ways to Get Passed Fustration

Take a pause from what it is thats Fustrating You–

Got writers block? Can’t finish that song the way you planned it?? Take a pause from it. What the pause does is give you time to evaluate the situation. Look at this obstacle from the outside looking in, instead of the inside looking out. This technique will give you a new angle to look at the problem.

Find Another Means–

If things are not flowing as smooth as you would like, find another means to get your goals accomplished. Remember that there is no “set in stone” way to get things done. If that were true wouldn’t everyone be where they wanted in life??

Vent it–

I have yet to see an artist that could not capitalize on fustration. Being fustrated has an universal appeal. By writing about whats fustrating you really opens the door to free you from it. Many can and will relate to the feelings that you write about by your fustration. You are a songwriter right….?? Well…. What better way to show it in your music than by first hand experience.

Fustration comes, and there is no way that you can escape its clutches. I think its not so much as what happens in life, but how you react and deal with it. Do not let fustration step on you, but instead let it fuel you. You wouldn’t give your all if there were no obstacles in your way. Good Day, Good Luck and God Bless.
