Writing tips and tools to use when searching for financial freedom by writing.
When searching for freelance writing jobs a variety of tools are available to lead you to employment. Using tools to increase productivity and lead you to your writing goals should be occurring to help you increase your financial flow of producing work for others. I strongly suggest applying to one to three postings daily in order to produce a financially strong background in writing.
Revue Based Articles
A great suggestion is to have a combination of revenue type of writings that will continue making you money for years. Triond offers this choice of revenue pay. Many writers can make several hundreds of dollars a month from old articles that you would not have made had you simply sold the article outright to one client.
A Search Engine
Donanza is a wonderful search engine that enables you to search for freelancing employment at many locations on the internet. I strongly suggest using Donanza to monitor the jobs being posted for freelance writing. It is a very simple search engine to use. Once you reach the site you simply type in the search engine box the field you are looking for. Another page will appear listing the jobs available for what you searched for. You have the option of clicking on the link to the posting, emailing it to others or site information. An rss feed is available that you can add to Bloglines, or to Google reader to keep an eye on employment.
Freelance Writing Gigs
A great site that offers writing gigs available all over the world for a decent pay cheque. A combination of blogging jobs as well as freelance writing and journalism is posted. Freelance Writing Gigs separates the type of writers that the employers are looking for with links to the ads. Very rarely do they lead you to join an actual freelancing site. They are individual ads that they locate online at such places as Craigslist and Kijiji and other fine locations.
Canadian Freelance Writing Jobs
Canadian Freelance Writing Jobs is a site that posts decent leads to writing positions not only in Canada. The site will only post ads or sites that will pay you decently for every article you submit. A variety of links to Kijiji, Craigslist and other sites are posted. They also give great advice and encouragement to only support sites that will pay you well for your time and research. The site posts links for freelance writers, professional journalists with degrees and bloggers. A variety of leads that are either based on your experience as well as education. Not all job leads require a journalism degree to succeed at the sites she leads you to.
Keep in mind you are worth more then one dollar an article. This is becoming a growing concern and issue on many freelance sites such as Odesk, Rent a Coder and GetAFreelancer. Haiti should be a fine example of not supporting one dollar a day, or two dollars a day employment. As I was researching the earthquake in Haiti I learned a valuable freelancing lesson. I was shocked to learn that they live on two dollars a day, which drove them into poverty so severe that they did not have any governmental money to help with that emergency earthquake or any emergency for that matter. Haiti is so poor that they make dirt sandwiches with vegetable oil and eat that as part of their meals. This is because of trying to live on two dollars a day.
As we are all part of the human race, I ask you to question sites that are allowing these types of postings, and to ban these forms of modern day slavery from the sites.
