Improve your writing

Freelance Writers Unite

Some buyers of freelance writing can’t afford to pay writers a decent amount of money, but they expect “perfect, perfect, perfect” grammar, spelling and good information.

It is sad to think that people with good writing skills cannot make a decent living because buyers want more perfection than they are willing to pay for.  Freelance writing is a job!  Writers have families to feed and bills to pay.  Sadly, the buyer needs original work and will copyscape all submissions.  This is correct.  There should never be plagiarism!  But, writers have to research subjects in order to write facts about subjects.

Research is easier today because writers use the Internet.  That helps save time instead of jumping in the car or on the bike and heading for the volumes upon volumes of information at the library.  At home, the writer is paying for Internet service. Going to the library, the writer is using gasoline!

The writer has expenses that often are not covered by the writing fees they collect unless they are spending 23 hours a day writing and even then, it is virtually impossible to survive on $0.002 per word.  Earning $1 per 500 words is social murder, a completely gross negligence of a writer’s ability and talent.

The written word communicates all information to the world.  What you hear on TV or radio has been written as a script.  Magazines, newspapers and Internet sites are written by hard working individuals who have a talent with the written word.

When you read something that is a mess… misspelled words, poor grammar and the use of the wrong word, remember the writer.  If the buyer had hired the writer who asked for a fair pay, you might be reading quality articles.
