Learn how to become a freelance travel writer. Make money traveling the world.
Freelance travel writers needed for travel writers jobs allow you to write abroad. Many job boards show that writers and english translators are needed.
One thing that I have noticed is good for beginners is to get information regarding writers guidelines for travel magazines, writing contests and joining job boards.
Create a resume for yourself and set up a profile at many of the independent contractor websites. The popularity of becoming a travel writer is the opportunity to get paid to travel the globe, stay in luxury hotels and experience a variety of foods, restaurants, and shopping.
Setting up a blog is a good way to communicate with your readers, plus you can share photos of the destinations along with giving a birds eye view of what it is like to live in that part of the world, even if it is just for vacation.
Most travel writing jobs have transitioned from magazine and newspapers to online publications. So if you want to get your feet wet then look for travel blogs.
These are a great place to find blog owners who need content for their site. Many will pay you for your services.

This ad was looking for someone to provide content for their newsletter on Chinese SICHUAN food and travel in Chengdu and Sichuan province of China, they wanted a writer who loves to eat or cook.
so they required that the written articles be 400 words, on topics to do with SICHUAN Chinese cuisine. Along with 2 to 3 photos illustrating the article.
In exchange for your writing they are offering that your articles be included in a worldwide newsletter on topics of your choosing for $25 USD per article plus $10 for each picture.
If you wanted to apply they require submissions of your writing samples along with a resume. Their audience base is foodies and travelers.
Rrmember that there are many people who are trying to make a profit off you. They see that you are searching for writing jobs or writing gigs and many will ask you for a fee, or they will charge you for a list of writing jobs. so make sure to do your research and do not pay for a job.
Craigslist sometimes falls into that category with postings asking for samples of your work or they just want to build a list of people to later try and get you to buy an affiliate product or digital product.
So when you start getting hired to write for a company, make sure you understand the terms and conditions of the agreement.
