Freedom of Speech: A Right and a Responsibility

For those aspiring writers and journalist keep writing even if your work is taken for granted.

Hatred its what I feel right now. I want to scream coldblooded murder. It might just be a small, insignificant event but it means a lot for someone whose heart is at journalism and literary arts, whose writing is everything. What would you feel if your efforts have been discarded? If you do then surely you know how I feel too. It’s the second time I have been left for something important. This one has been a really big blow to my ego and confidence. I want to scream, scream, scream till my lungs ache, till it held no breath, no more. But I cant. I still do it the way I always do. I write.

I document what I feel, not because I am too weak to do what I want to, it’s because I cant do it. So I write. I write when I am sad, when I am lonely, happy and even when I am hurt or in pain. Because writing is my life. It’s my first love. It is a part of me. It’s the only thing that would stay with me always, the only thing that would not leave me. It is my refuge. Friends, families and people would pass, but pen and paper won’t, my ability to write everything I want won’t. And it can never hurt me physically or emotionally. Because when I write I am superior. I have absolute power over things. I could do what I want, be whoever I want to be. I am free to do so.

Freedom, I yearn for it as every other people does. Why would anyone deprive me of it? It is not theirs to control.  Writing itself is freedom, a right however at the same time a responsibility too. I at the same time others must also know limitations. Yes, writing is freedom, it’s a right but others has this right too. We must be responsible for what we right, what and who is it about. For sometimes abuse of this freedom could lead us to our wreck or may hurt people who is innocent . We should always remember that along with freedom there is always a responsibility to think about. For the Golden Rule said ” Do not do unto others what you do not want others to do unto you.”
