Follow the light and acknowledge the darkness to find Faith.
It can be hard to escape away from the noise and demands of life- Cell phones, alarm clocks, traffic jams, people, work… The list goes on and on. It isn’t often that people are able to just stop and listen.

When is the last time you spent more than 24 Hours completely alone? When I say “completely alone”, I imagine a full 24+hour period of being on your own as an individual in a place where you wake up and go to sleep at night with no “noise” in between? It isn’t often that people force themselves to take a retreat, or vacation or any extended period of time for themselves without bringing at least one other person along. Taking the time to be alone at times in order to find yourself can be difficult and frightening for a lot of people, especially when you have the demands of life tugging at your every last seam.

Sometimes people let themselves go for too long before finding the right time to begin soul searching. For myself, a great way to unwind and escape into my own mind is while I’m off on my own with my camera. I used to be the type of person who couldn’t be “bothered” with the idea of hiking through the woods when there are seemingly so many other ways to spend an open afternoon. It wasn’t until I started working with Photography that I began to see the truth of nature and the release that comes with a random meandering through the woods.
Follow the light and acknowledge the darkness.
