“Mr. Hogan, are you sure you want to do this interview?”
“Why not?”
“How are you going to make a connection between flash fiction and pizza?”
“A slice of pizza. Do you eat pizza?”
“Sure.”
“What do you like on your pizza?”
“A group of us went for beer and pizza yesterday after class. We ordered a 32-slice pie with extra cheese, green peppers, ground meat, sausage and pepperoni.”
“How many slices did you have?”
“Three.”
“I bet I can tell you what you had on your three slices.”
“Well of course. It was the same thing every…Flash fiction is like a slice of pizza because it has all the ingredients in it that the whole pie has?”
“How about a cold beer?”

Uma:
Actually, I don’t eat pizza. I did once. And I love pizza. But it is not really a healthy food. Still, it makes for a good metaphor.
