Five Mostt Misspelleded Werds

English is confusing, but so is the pen that seems to catch the eye of the paper. Before you know it, you have a broken pencil and a knocked up eraser.

We have our troubles when we write. But did you know that 83% of all Americans spelled the same thing wrong. Whether you are educated or not, these 5 words the most commonly misspelled words in America and the whole English language.

5. Probably:Most people think it’s prolly, probly, or sometimes prbly. But we all know textinghas the biggest influence on kids. Phones need a spell checker.

4. A lot: Most commonly spelled as alot or allot, those two words are not in the English language. Fortunately, we all know that were suppose to not use a lot in formal writing, or did you not know that?

3. Misspell:What is more embarrassing than to misspell the name of the problem? Just remember that it is mis + spell and that will spell you the worry about spelling “spell.”

2. Pinciple/Principal:A principle is a rule. A principal is the head of the school. Two different thing that you ought to know. Figure it out!

1. Wednesday:Its stupid, we all know. I rather spell it Wensday but it just won’t let me. This the most commonly spelled word out there and not to mention the most annoying. We sure do hate the middle of the week because you are the farthest form the weekend. Remember: “Wed-nes-day”.

I had “a lot” beaten into my head during my sophomore year of high school. For some reason, I had used “a lot” A LOT in a story I had written. Throughout the paper I found in big red letters “AAAAGGGHHHH! 2 WORDS!!!!!” That pretty much broke me of that one.

And I have to agree that texting and “internet speak” is NOT helping our teens. They need to learn how to spell, period.
