Finding Way Through Triond

    I love writing. I love to put my ideas on letters. I want people to read them. In that way, I can tell to them what I think and what I know. I tried to search the Internet some sites where I can freely write. The first one I tried was Writers.ph, but I don’t write there mostly because members have certain topics to write to. The second one is Helium. I didn’t tried yet to write in there. Now, I found out about Triond and I was inspired to try writing. I submitted already two writings the day I joined- a simple poem and a simple short story about a teacher. I don’t know yet if it will be published or not. But whatever takes place, I accept.

    I’m 18 years old, 1st year nursing student in one of the med school in the Philippines. I have no enough experience yet when it comes to writing, even in my country’s language. I am not a native speaker of English. It is just our method of instruction in school. I know my grammar and sentence constructions are not yet that good. I  also study full time, that I can’t concentrate on improving my writing skills. Mostly, I deal with school matters and medical matters. These are some of the things that I consider a block on my way to become a writer. But there is a desire in me to write. So I wanna try and try.

     I’m gonna find my way to Triond. But, it seems I’m alone. My friends are not interested in writing. My family too, has no time in it. Who will be going to be my first readers? Are those members in here gonna read my work even if they don’t know me?

    I also noticed that by reading the hot posts that most of them came from the English speaking countries. Can I be able to write like them? I am a Filipino, I speak Filipino language. Most of the stories I create is in a Filipino life setting. The situations with in my stories flows and circulates in a Filipino’s common everyday life. Do the world wanna know my country’s lifestyle? Come to think, Philippines is a small Asian country.

   Well, maybe there are people too who are interested. There are readers too who want to know the situations happening in my country. There are those who want to know the cultures of my people. Through Triond, I write for those people.

    I, myself read other people works online even though I don’t know them, so there are also people who don’t know me will read my works, too.

    I hope through this site I can be able to improve my skills. I hope I gonna find my way through Triond!!
