Eureka – Getting Ideas for Writing

The hardest part about writing for Triond (or any other site for that matter) is getting the idea for an article. Well I’ve got a few ideas of my own about that.

Most new users will find it hard to come up with new ideas for writing articles (I’m one of them!) but do not despair I have a few ideas about coming up with ideas that I have collected to help you with writing your articles or anything else for that matter.

Get some Breathing Space

Start off by posting things like school, collage and university work, photos you’ve taken and anything else that’s hiding somewhere on your computer. Its fast, easy and it gives you something to publish while you think up some new and (hopefully) brilliant ideas to write. It might not give you ideas for new articles but it helps start your Triond career and brings in a small amount of revenue.

An Idea is an Opportunity

So don’t let it pass you by! Take note of any ideas you have at all times to make sure you remember them. I like to use my iPod Touch for that. Whenever I have an idea I just get it out and make a quick note of the idea and in no time I have an archive of ideas just waiting to be written. But you can use anything to record notes from PDAs to paper and pen and in any style or size just as long as you can recall that idea later on just from reading the note.

Storm that Brain!

Whenever you have nothing to do then think about ideas. Take inspiration from the world around you and don’t be afraid to do an article on something you don’t know a lot about as long as you do enough research to understand what you are writing about. Ask friends and family if they can contribute but make sure they are happy about you using their ideas as plagiarism is a big no-no.

Boredom is the Root of all Evil

So if an idea comes to you but writing it bores you, don’t force yourself to as all it will do is create a mediocre piece of work that might make you lose any interest in writing at all which is a fate far worse than having to come up with another idea. You don’t have to adore what you write about, just as long as it’s not a huge chore to write it. Writing should be fun and if it bores you then Triond is not the place for you.

Ideas are like Rabbits

You get a couple and learn how to handle them, and pretty soon you have a dozen of them. As you think up more ideas you’ll get better at it so don’t be discouraged if the first few ideas take a while as those are the hardest ideas to come up with. With time and effort you’ll get to a point where too many ideas surge through your head and the hard part is deciding which one to write!

I really hope this article helped you find some ideas and if it did it would be very kind of you to press the ‘I Like It’ button or submit a comment on why you didn’t. If you can add to the points above to give even more advice to users that need help with ideas, then post it as well.
