Enough Is Enough-A Writers Frustration On Spamming

I will be the first to admit that I am not the most popular writer in the Triond

community.Will also admit I don’t write like I should due to work,family and my

love of quilting. But when the time is available I log onto Triond and write what

I have been working on for awhile.Read my left messages and most of all catch up

or try to on my fellow writers work.I don’t have a problem with most of it but does

have a severe issue with one thing.I am pretty sure that I am not the only writer

that feels this way as well.

It doesn’t surprise me anymore to get messages from other writers wanting you to

join a recommended site they like.Their referral number is behind the link and they

swear it will pay more then Triond.Join me there and we can read the others work

and support the other they say.For every one message I delete when I log on,two

more will replace it by the next time I log in again. My favorite line is” hey,I’m

going to give you a tip that made me hundreds of dollars with just a few articles.”

I’m not that old so my memory hasn’t gone to mush but I don’t recall asking this one

writer for any tips at all.Odds are that I am way older then they were and knows

what I need to get by in my life or on Triond.

We all know that writing sites doesn’t pay you a massive amount of money for just a

few written pieces.You have to build up a portfolio so to speak of written material

then go from there.It all depends on the writer how they want to promote the work

and actually where. Spamming everyones private message boxes to me is not the

way to get other writers to take you seriously or gain any respect.I fail to see why I

should use their referral number so any writer can make money off of the talent that

I perfected over my 35 years of writing.Maybe if they took the time to do the same thing

they would not be sending the unwanted messages.

I am aware that there is an array of writers on Triond with different degrees of writing

talent.Not all of it catches all of our attention and we all had to start at the bottom and

work our way to where we all are at now.I am also aware that we all don’t write about the

same things and that is a good thing.But there is a right way and a wrong way to earn

money and spamming isn’t it. I will check out their work of the one that sent the message

then go to the other writers work on my page.I will not give it anymore thought because

the left message killed any interest in that persons work.I may be wrong for thinking this

and I apologize .But to me if you are a writer worth your written words there is no need

to use spam to promote it.The exception to that rule last week was a message about

a completed novel a Triond writer wrote and I wanted to read it.

I have read several peoples work and waited to see if they read mine in return.Out of the

45 that I read only 5 returned the favor which is fine.So what makes me believe that

they will support me on Bukisa or any other writing site? I don’t write for money since

I do it for the writing experience and the other fellow writers work to read.And I certainly

don’t believe I will ever make enough on Triond to give up my small apartment and go buy

my dream house.Its all about why you are writing,if you believe what you are writing and

do you enjoy being a writer?The money made varies from writer to writer and how they

feel about it.But there isnt a darn thing wrong with writing for the pure hades of the love

of writing.

I understand if someone asked you for a link and referral and it was sent to them.But this

rubbish about filling our boxes with spam is crazy. It wont stop me from writing but it does

frustrate me to pieces.If you are going to call yourself a writer on Triond then write and

don’t play games.A real writer wont spam his work all over every time he/she writes a

new written piece.Do it the right way before the forum came along and read other writers

work.They In turn most of the time they will read your work and comment if they want to.

This written piece wont stop the spamming by any means but it gave me a topic to

write a long overdue article  instead of my poetry.I again apologize if I offended

anyone on Triond but enough is enough! I came on Triond to write what I have for many

years not spend time deleting spam messages. I am happy on Triond and have no intention

of joining another site just to make another writer a few pennies.Thank you for reading

this and know that I appreciate every comment left on any of my written work.I do my

best to return the favor when I have the chance to log on into Triond.
