One of the things that will make your blog or website be a complete success is of course traffic. If you are a writer, and you want to make money online, the one thing that you need, regardless if you have a blog, website, or just writing for either is traffic, or an active audience.
This however, is not always easy or possible, because new writers have to compete or have to deal with constant criticism (I should know!). But getting or driving traffic to any new website or blog does not have to be hard, or a headache for that matter. It is easy and it is even fun!
Here’s what I’ve learned in just a few months!
So, you’ve finally made your website or blog and now you are ready to promote it! But how? The main idea or concept when making a blog of website is to have it read by other avid readers and to have people like what you have to say. Any person can make a website or blog and market the hell out of it. The thing is that as much as people actually market their sites, they have to be able to get people to connect with them too! So how can this be done?
Well, from personal experience, I’ve learned that you can write all you want, but if you dont have people reading your work, it really does not matter how much you have online. In order to get people to read your stuff, you have to go to where people actively see whats new in their topic of choice, and what they are interested in.
Here are some tips:
These are just some of the things that i’ve done, and have learned how to do, and they’ve worked for me! If these work for you, then by all means try them and let me know how they work out for you!

Hi there! I have also found that using Attracta to help get my site posted in the top search engines is very helpful as well. Being “searchable” is very important.
Thanks!

Thanks for the tips. Considering how many blogs are floating unappreciated in cyberspace, it can be a daunting experience for first-timers. I’ll be haunting like-minded forums to promote my blog (which can be found at http://www.davidlatta.org – see, I’ve used one of your tips already!). Thanks again.

Thanks for the tips. My friend started up a new Joint partnership blog and these should help a little.
