Some tips and suggestions on what I have learnt through my experience in triond and which I thought is prudent to share.
It has been less than a month in Triond and so far it has been an enriching experience. The best aspect of being a part of this community is that you get acquianted with so many talented people and learn something new, everyday. My first few days in Triond were a trial and error experience with lot of doubts about how the thing works. However, after a couple of near disasters we have grown to respect each others idiosyncrasies and have come to a mutual understanding.
I have undergone the pain of seeing my articles getting published in the wrong sites and with the wrong titles (mainly because of a system which is not educated enough to recognize commas and other symbols). After cringing at those sights, I finally learnt how to save the day by changing all these mistakes even after the articles get published. I realised this might happen to others and especially the newbies, so thought of sharing the experience with all of you.
The title which never was : If you are like me and love highlighting your titles with question marks, commas, hyphens etc then be prepared to see a completely different title after it gets published. The title might have been “Is everyone going to die in 2012-The truth behind the big bang!!” and in the site might come up like this,
(quoteIs everyone going to die in 2012anddashThe truth behind the big bang!!unquote) or something similar. Well, don’t fret, there is a way out of this. As soon as you see the error go to the tab in your home page which says content and click on published, a list of all your published articles will appear. On the right hand you will see several symbols, one looks like a pen and says fix, click on that and you can then remove the symbols from the piece. You can use the colon (:) instead of the hyphen (-).
The wrong category : Well, you would not like your piece of hot breaking news to get published in the site which is meant for humour/jokes? Or maybe it is a health related topic and got published in the business section? It has not happened to be except once but from the comments that I have read on several articles, this might be a common occurrence. In that case what you can do is go to the same place (see above) and click on the option which says request for relocation.Triond might take a couple of days but if it was a mistake they will repair the damage. Choosing the category is very important and take your time while looking at all the options and select the one which is most appropriate.
Oh, I forgot to add something!! Again, if you are like me, something might strike you after 10 days of the article being published and you will be like “Gosh, I wish I had added this”. Not to worry, there is a solution to that as well, again follow the instructions given above and click on the option which says fix and edit the content and submit the fix.
Hopefully, all the tips were helpful and if any of the veteran users would like to add something or point out any mistakes, please feel free to do so.

Normally nobody puts a quotation mark in a title. Em dash and en dash are special characters and the editor understands only simple ascii characters, I guess. Anyway, good lessons learnt. There is always a learning curve for every one, so not to worry.
