You submit an article to Triond. .. and it comes back declined. Will you let it languish in the "declined bin" or publish it elsewhere?
You write an article, you wait for it to be published, then Triond informs you that your article has been declined. “Well, for crying out loud.” If you are anything like me, it takes you weeks or months or never to discover that the article has not gone off into la-la land. Nope, it is still sitting innocently in the Declined section waiting for some attention.
For the longest time, I thought that declined articles were deleted from the Triond system and that there was no hope of retrieving them. One day, I happened to stumble across the Declined section. When you sign-in to the Dashboard, you simply click on Content, then look for the fifth heading underneath. Once you select Declined, you’ll see a listing of your declined articles.
Declined Articles
If Triond declines an article, you can always take a stab at republishing it by incorporating any suggested changes and resubmitting it. If Triond still refuses to play ball, all is not lost.
A remedial strategy is to simply copy it and submit it elsewhere. By doing so, you still earn on the article–and the time you’ve invested does not come to naught.
Using Declined Articles
Why allow those articles to slumber, failing to earn their keep? You did the background fact-checking, you composed the articles, so why not publish them by placing them at other online sites that pay for content?
I’m assuming that you write for more than one online writing site. If not, you may want to join either Xomba and submit your article as a Xombite or join HubPages. Either site will pay you for ad clicks on your pages.
Thus, you can use your declined articles to best advantage.

Great information as always. Honestly, I have never had an article or story rejected. Thank goodness for that!

Ha, ha, Peter, that’s great. I get the odd one but turn it to an advantage.
Yes, if you have declined articles, it makes sense to use them and earn on them.

Great piece! But the articles that are rejected, I just put them on my blog. They don’t make me any money but I really don’t write for the money but to help people out
Thanks for sharing

Very helpful information, It’s a shame to lose your work and all the time you put into it.

Yes, it is a good thing that writers can access their declined articles and recycle them because it does take time, which is so valuable. I recently placed two declined articles on HubPages and these are gaining views and garnering comments–so what is not accepted at one site might fare better elsewhere.

I know this already, but great information anyway, course not everybody know this! Some might think they need to write it all again. BECAUSE: This was the way you did it when I began.. I Wrote this article: http://cinemaroll.com/cinemarolling/top-10-hottest-disney-characters-woman/
And when I first submitted it, it was just declined right away.. Back then you couldn’t get it back.. It was in the declined section, but it was just stuck there, without you being able to edit it or save it…. Therefore I just left it there.. Later on, Triond made it possible to edit it. And so did I. And here it is!
Thanks for sharing this, Athlyn
Best regards,
A W Hegelund

Yup, I’ve had a few but none for many months. I try to write original articles every time and this is no longer a problem to me. But that’s a good idea. I’ll review if I have articles worthy of publication in my declined articles.

This article was written for those who may have thought they had lost those declined articles.

I have only had a few declined and usually for silly reasons. One for so silly that I send a letter to the editor and it was corrected on their side and published.

Yeah that’s what I did . I submit my declined articles to other site.
