Dealing with Rejection

Some thoughts about rejection.

Everybody hates it when their writing gets rejected.  Most of the time they don’t even tell you why your work gets thrown to the side.  Let’s face it, it doesn’t really matter why, any reason can destroy your motivation.  So what are we suppose to do about everything.

It all depends on how much you want from your writing.  Right now, I have been dealing with a lot of rejection from magazine publishers.  I keep telling myself that there is a lot of other writers out there.  Every time I get a no from a publisher, I try to think of something better.  If some thing does get rejected, I look it over and try to improve it, and then send it to some one else, because everybody doesn’t like the same things.

My suggestion to people is to send your work to everyone you can.  You might get a crap load of rejection, but there will be a yes in there, sooner or later.
