Improve your writing

Creating a Real Earning Article

You can find several articles on how you can gain more traffic on your articles. Yes, the more people that know about your work, the more might read it, but here are the real guidelines to gain traffic.

Not happy with your views, traffic, earnings?

Many here are. Why? Because there are some here claiming web publishing is a gold mine. Forget it! The only way you can earn some cents is to write great articles.

Now what are great articles? To be honest: that is up to the readers to decide. You cannot make up a person’s mind.

Also be honest with yourself. If you are in to make millions in writing, you might bulk the net with all you can come up with, but it will not pay your bills.

More traffic on Triond does not mean more income. Some articles will need more views to earn than others.

Ok, share your article. You have over 200 ways to spread your article here on Triond. But the fact remains: if your article is not good, people will look at it for a moment and click away without any further notice.

All beginning writers make mistakes. We can all improve, also those who are in for the long run. Do not consider Triond as a tool for a living, but make writing a way of living. That is the first mentality step you need to take.

Now where to begin.

1) The title

Write a great title. Try to be creative and unique in it. Many have this “Why” and “How to” titles. They may work, but only when you really explain things and when everybody does it that way, it might not attract that much attention.

If many crappy articles are read with this start, it might downgrade the article. Some promote this as professional, but do not listen to others.

Try to write on facts. Like not “How to find editorial guinea pigs”, to give an example, but “Finding Editorial Guinea Pigs”. Both might work, but what sounds more striking to you?

2) The content itself

Try to avoid getting too personal in your informative articles. It is alright to write autobiographic pieces and they might get read either. Speaking from experience is a great hing, but only do so when it is genuine and contributes to the article.

What a good content is, is also up to the reader. Keep in mind that informative content that is on specific matters is not for all and might never get high views, but will get some on regular basis.

These are the articles that will earn some pennies on a monthly base, but no big rush.

Also do research the topics you write about. Spreading false information is not a good way to make a career or to be taken serious.

Creative writings do not need specific info, but will always earn less. If you want to make money on your creative writings, you can better put them on line as promo tool and publish them or try to get them published.

3) Language

Nobody is perfect and even professional linguists may can be mistaken. A novice reader might read over your errors, that you might have read over a dozen times.

Still maintaining a simple grammar and a not to hard to read language, avoiding to long sentences and technical vocabulary, might make your article more read. Keep in mind the public are no experts, or they would not look you up.

Also on line reading is to snap info at once. Do not make your articles to long and keep paragraphs short. This last guideline is also to keep the web layout in mind.

Conclusion

Any great article worth reading, will be read and will get traffic, but it might take some time. Do not believe the self declared millionaires or professionals and keep working to improve your quality.

Good quality is a better promo tool than begging to be read. All those who might get more views by better promotion, might maintain this only when it is good quality they share.

Also: do not promote your own articles. Try to be so good others will read you and those who like it, will promote your work for you.

And maybe the biggest reward should not be money, for every writer the reward should be getting appreciation for your work.
