An indepth look at my Triond earnings for the month of August.
August was my highest earning month this year here on Triond. That is something that I take great pride in. On September 10th, I received my payment from Stanza Ltd. (that would be Triond) for $17.66. While this may not seem like much to the highest earners on Triond, it is still more than $200 per year. What is more, is that I don’t have to write more articles to continue making that money. I will continue to earn from my previously published articles.
My payment of $17.66 to my PayPal marked an increase of $5.14 (or 41%) over my previous month’s earnings. That payment of $12.52 for July had been my previous highest for the year to date. August was also my 5th consecutive month where my earnings grew over the previous month. To set a new yearly record was something I was very proud of.
During the month of August I published 19 new articles and 2 new pictures. That brought my total publications to 121, up from 100 at the end of July. This represented a 21% increase on the total number of publications I had on Triond. I found it quite interesting that my earnings increased almost twice as quickly as my number of publications did. That leads me to believe that my newer articles are getting more views than my older ones over a long term, which I believe to be an indicator of my improved writing abilities.
Regardless of any improved abilities, I was quite intrigued to find out that while my two top earning articles were still Five Best Holiday Destinations and Some Hilarious One Liners (published more than a year ago each), my new third best earning article was an August article, Four Must-Have PS3 Games for Christmas 2009. I was quite pleased to find that one of my newer articles jumped straight to the top of my monthly earnings list. It reminds me that while an article might not pay much over the course of a few days, or even a few weeks, it will pay back the time invested in writing it in spades over the course of your writing career.
For anyone who is interested, as of writing this on September 23rd, I have earned $21.31 so far this month. It appears that I am on course for quite a large jump in monthly earnings. Look out for an update in my next “Closer Analysis” article.

Well done.

I find my monthly income is at lease %20 higher than the month before. If this continues, I expect to be making some serious cash every month two years from now.

I agree Guy Hogan. If I keep up my current rate of growth, I’ll be earning a very large amount of cash by the beginning of 2011. Even if I just keep raising my monthly income by $5, as opposed to a percent of previous month, I’ll still be earning almost $100 per month by 2011.

Oh good on ya! I feel the joy when you extol to virtues of even the small renumeration. I feel the same way and it is a absolute joy to like, just last week I went to my favorite computer jobber and bought another 1-Gigabyte DIMM memory card for my computer… courtesy of my Triond earnings!
GREAT share!
Best!

Congratulations. You have done well. My earnings have actually gone down on what they were a few months ago. Maybe poetry does not earn as much as articles. It is good to hear about your experiences.

Great article! You have done well!Since I have been here for the past five months my money has doubled each month which is quite pleasing.I like your analysis.I place about the same amount of articles on each month some having a higher range of hits then others while some of the articles that have a lower amount of hits are paying far more then the higher.
