Clarity and Plot, and How to Put Them Together

A good plot is the drive behind a story, the more clear the message of the plot the more power in the story.

Plot is the bases of all storytelling there is always a reason for something in a good story. You can make great character’s, and describe scenes vividly, but with no plot there will be no reason for it all,  it is the driving force of your characters and the only reason they exist.

  •  Clarity is King                                                                                                                Plot should be easily accessible, and easy to understand, there should be a clear theme throughout the whole story to tell where it is all leading, think of plot as the heart beat of the story, pumping life into every word, every dark ally, and crimson sky.
  • Keep The Beat                                                                                                          Your pacing is important in that it will decide the length and feel of your story, if it seems rushed with plot being spilled out in big chunks, then it will feel rushed and end up being short and awkward, give the plot away bit by bit until the end where it is all pieced together .
  • All’s Well That End’s Well                                                                                                 The ending of a piece is what people tend to remember the most, so its a good idea to put careful thought into your last words, it doesn’t have to be the happily ever after kind of ending, but rapping things up in a nice little package that lets the reader close the book and say, wow, that was amazing, is well worth it.

Tips

The ending should be consistent with the theme don’t just rap everything up in a hurry because your tired of working, or cant think of anything better, make a sacrifice and put some time into it, you will be glad you did.
