Characteristics of Writers

A list of writer characteristics I could think of.

With a gift of passion for creativity, writers are the busy bees, who are forever expanding,

contracting or twisting facts, or simply conveying them as they are: with a view to create an appealing

text for the benefit of the reader. Every society owes its levels of progress to a writer working from

behind the stage.

I write down below, a few characteristics of writers according to my observation and my imagination.

1. Writers sustain an ever active mind, even though some may appear to be laid back. This

may be described as being actively silent.

2. They like to take part or, initiate debates and arguments.

3.  The act of cultivating interesting people around themselves is another characteristic.

4.  They yearn for solitude as well, and they themselves are their best friends sometimes.

5.  Time is utilized very efficiently by them, for the mind makes no provision for being quite empty.

6. Curiosity and an urge for research are innate in their character. They do not hesitate to eaves drop, to find fresh

recipes for their cooking mind.

7. Like the potters, they are constantly shaping their thoughts with words.

8. It is acknowledgement that keeps them motivated.

No huffing and puffing, no palpitations to create sympathy or concern by folks around them, yet I say writing is in no way short of a feat.

Amazingly writers are compelled to create things out of nothing all the time. This makes the job very demanding for the writers, and after a sizable word count, related to one’s capacity, the mind really comes to saturation point, but the satisfaction earned makes it up for all the effort.
