Numerous articles have been posted on Triond lately with many writers rushing to publish the required number of articles in the shortest month of the year to get a bonus. The quantity has gone up but the quality certainly leaves a lot to be desired. Which articles rank highest? Which are the greatest articles for the week? Find out here.
The much anticipated February Challenge was announced in style, more like an afterthought rather than a major announcement really. As expected, the quantity of posts have shot up but the quality seems to have gone down. Only a few diehard poets remain on Authspot while everyone else posts articles so as to get a share of the February bonus.
Sites that have traditionally attracted many writers are now being shunned in favor of those listed for the Triond special. For this reason, the best articles for the week are not getting enough candidates for some of the awards categories that have hitherto attracted stiff competition.
Poetry has been reduced to an affair for three or four diehards with the rest going for articles. Choosing the best poem wasn’t therefore challenging as such. For the second week running, there was no religious post worth writing home about. The few that Minister Marlene posted could not make the cut for coming well after the 4th of February which made them ineligible for this week’s awards.
This weeks’ list has new entrants to the list as usual but the award categories have been slashed to only ten, the top ten online entries published on The Triond network. While I plan to open up the list to articles from without Triond, the largest base for my fans remains here, hence this announcement.
I thank those who asked about the list to remind me that this ritual is indeed spreading its wings and growing stronger roots than I had imagined earlier. Which articles were the best for the week? Which articles made the mark for being the best? Click here or any of the paragraph headings to get the list.
