Become an Article Writer

I took up writing articles for a client that had an overload of work.  Though I didn’t earn much money, I was doing something I enjoyed and it was very therapeutic.  Writing or even typing, should I now say as technology changes is a great stress reliever.

Writing articles can be very simple and if you already like to write, there could be a nice little earner out there for you.  More and more companies online are realising the SEO benefits of articles that are targetting keywords for their products or market.  Therefore for these clients, having an article writer working for them is extremely beneficial.

The going rates for writing articles or doing rewrites (rewrites is literally respinning an article already written, to make it unique for another publisher) can range dramatically and so make sure you are writing, for the right amount of money.

I am not sure if you could ever earn enough to give up your day job, unless you were writing all day, everyday and were getting a good pay rate to justify.  However, as an extra income, it is definitely worth while.

I currently write articles covering all sorts of topics and the pay rate is $1 per 300-400 words and 0.50c per 300-400 word rewrites.  This is a very competitive pay rate and to be honest I can earn a fair amount to be satisfied based on these rates.  More so, a rewrite can take me minutes and so for the time vs the money – it is pretty good!
