The progress being made, despite not yet hitting the big time, in terms of views, is very reassuring.
This month, with several days that have each yielded more than a dollar in earnings, where I have had over 7,000 views to my posts and getting close to 500 comments from you ever supportive band of loyal followers, I really do feel that March is turning out to be the best month so far for me here at triond. I have now begun to get more interest in my wikinut presence, with 26 followers there, but again the process of establishing yourself on any site takes time, though more of you joining wikinut as well would be great.
Thing is, I have a question or two that I know some of you will possibly have answers to. I was told by an trionder on the forums, that 2sleep was a great site for posting links, so I signed up, but I simply cannot get any photos to upload to their link page? Every time it tells me that images must not exceed 500k, be jpeg or two other formats, and as far as I know, the images I take from my pictures, on the hard drive, are alljpeg and small enough, so what do they mean? I paste in the URLs that the images were from, but the same rejection message flashes all the time. Anyone able to help?
Also, I wanted to enquire if other people have found that being part of stumbleupon was helpful to them in terms of views, as it seems not to have made much of an impact on mine. Somebody said that generating views required spending time on the site building up a following, but there are only so many hours in one day. I do have both twitter and facebook pages linked to triond, but so far I don’t really see that any of these efforts is making much of an impact. How is it for your guys and girls?
It seems to me now fairly obvious, that if you are looking to make an impression and get more views you need to post stuff that is relevant to burning issues of the moment, remembering all the while that the attention span of the average surfer is not long, so the title needs to include at least one word that is attention grabbing, like stunnng, superb, awesome, mysterious, terrific etc. I found that titles standing out means more people reading, so now I always aim for doing that.
What I fail to understand at times is why my stuff never gets into the top tier of triond posts, because the ones that do seem not to be any more well written or interesting than the ones I post, yet up to now, that has always been the case, my best day so far yielding 601 views. Whilst I understand completely that this is no mean feat in itself, for anyone posting on this site, but it feels like I am not reaching the audiences I want to, especially as 77% of my views come from the UK, and only 15% from the USA.
I know that just now the world focus is on the awful unfolding of the nuclear crisis at the Fukushima reactor site in Japan, and who can blame anyone for feeling fear? The Japanese, in particular, still have raw memories of the torrid aftermath of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and understandably fear any possible repeat of the dreadful effects of radiation poisoning. We all need to share their concerns, but in the wider world, life goes on, and we writers need to carry on regardless.
If any of you do have any other suggestions for increasing web traffic, and I did sign up to socialmonkee, but I need some of you to sign up to it using my reference www.socialmonkee.com/index.php?af=3945.
If a dozen of you do that, I will get premium membership, and then, according to other triond members, the views figures should increase a great deal, so I do hope you will be kind enough to get signed up to this in the near future. Thanks in anticipation. I am going to get back to thinking about more posts now. It seems, too, that you need to post new stuff every day, if you want to stay within the focus of the viewers out there. Mrach has been awesome so far, for me, and that is, as always down to the support I get from fellow members of the big, big brotherhood that is triond. Thank you all so much.

You are getting lots more views than me with 600 + views in a day. Last week I hit 100 in a day for the first time. Hope you continue to have a successful month and beyond.

Compared to me, you are doing well well in views. I’m aiming for 200 views just in this month. Also I noticed some of your words were misspelled. Maybe you should consider doing a spell check before submitting some of your work. Congrats on your month so far, and I wish you even more success in the future.
