Ask, Seek, Knock – How to Bring God Into The Writing Process

Writing God’s way.

When I sit down to write, I am aware I am not writing on my own. The God I love is partnering with me as I tackle each writing project. Before I even begin he floods my mind with concepts, dreams, and inspiration. I play soaking music on my computer and after a while our hearts melt into one. I make sure I take time to listen to the angels – thanking them in advance for their seeds of destiny. I know that if I rely on the Holy Spirit in the writing process I will never run out of fresh content and inspiration. I’ll never run dry.

I know what you’re thinking, this sounds too spiritual – but wait, here are some places I often find nuggets for upcoming poems: Flicker, in particular Second Life groups; StumbleUpon; Yahoo Answers; and Twitter. These are just a few places that I’ve found seed my creative juices.

After completing each piece of writing, I pray and ask that the people that read my work will know that I wrote it with them in mind. It is not my intention to place my views or my beliefs on my readers’ – but simply offer them a safe place for them to be all they were born to be.

Happy writing.

You are blessed to be a blessing.
