Improve your writing

Are You a Wanna be Writer or an Aspiring Author?

What do you do when you are not on Triond or similar article sites? Are you attempting to be an actual author of poetry, prose, novels, essays and the like?

When I am not on Triond there are several things that I do as a wanna be writer to some day become an aspiriing author.

There are times when I spend few hours researching how to market my work on Triond, the rest of the time, when I am not doing mommy things… I am writing and submitting my work to magazines in the hopes of some day making a break into the world or reknowned writers.

It is a big dream, I know, and the fruitless labor seems daunting with little to no rewards. I have oodles upon oodles of rejection letters and emails from magazines… but my pen marches on.

I write and submit about twenty poems on a day like today…. and hope keeps me going… keeps me typing, submitting and searching for the one magazine that I will fit into to make a break.

i want nothing more than to be able to be at home with children until they are all teens…. and my savings are going quick… so i have a fever to write in hopes that it will soon pay off….

So when you are not living a regualr life and doing the mommy, daddy, grandma, wokring thing, what you are doing? Are you behaving like a wanna be or an aspiring author?

Me, for now, I am a wanna be….

For those of you interesting in submitting work to magazines and literary journals, try www.newpages.com and look for the “calls for submissions”. It is a classifieds section with details on what magazines and journals are curently accpeting submissions, many of them accept online submissons.
