All Writers Need Some Emailed Guidance

Newsletters are a wonderful gift to receive that offer valuable insight into the market.

I honestly believe that all writers should be participating within a community and receiving newsletters, pointers and tips of guidance. I find it refreshing to open up my email and see a letter from a site that is geared to guide a writer on opportunities, tips and general advice.

Here is a few to get you started.

 Abundant Writer News

This is a free newsletter, most of the time sent three times a week. It has job opportunities, and any information geared towards the site. They also speak of courses, which I will be discussing in another article on investing money in journalism at this given moment.  A huge decline in jobs for journalists is on the rise and the cost of the education when you are not guaranteed employment is a huge risk to take. Many journalism grads right now are struggling for employment. Please keep this in mind when considering a course.

 Writers Weekly

They claim to be the largest in circulation out of all freelance writing ezines available. Every Wednesday you will get an update of what is new on the site or you can subscribe to the feed. They have a forum, as well as an area for market and books. They also offer a warnings section which is great to familiarize yourself with, so you are aware of which websites, magazines or locations are doing something they are not supposed to be doing.

 Writing World

Very interesting site that even speaks of international writing, which is what I am investing my time with at the current moment. They also offer a newsletter twice a month on the first and third Thursday of the month. They have some very interesting ads on the site worth clicking on and reading about.

 Wow Women on Writing

As a woman and a published writer, I enjoy sites geared towards women and our craft. I find this site very helpful and very resourceful for the woman who is a writer. Extensive lists and resources are placed on the site, and a free newsletter is also available.

These are only a few wonderful resources available for writers to connect and receive the guidance, tips and opportunities available in the market today.

I strongly suggest opening up a separate email account for your writing newsletters, so you can keep the writing separate from the personal mails you receive. I find this an easier method.

Get connecting with some great sites and great free newsletters filled with valuable information.
