How to put these seemingly unrelated blogs into book form.
Obviously the number is relative this could be any large quantity that deserves to be read as a single unit.
Putting your articles in book form can take some effort after you have written all those thousands of blogs. One has to keep in mind the nature of the book which may keep the blog form or may involve incorporating various entries under different chapter headings. Obviously then the writer then has to be his own best organizer. Persistence in getting to final goal is key so as not to see the trees before the forest, In other words if one’s distant goal was to collate and create a book out of all those political opinion articles than those articles should be amassed an organized under book form. If political opinion has changed since all the opinions were made that should be reflected too.
The book needs a bibliography especially if it non fiction. You want to be able to site references and allow the reader to research material on his own. If this is fiction however the bibliography is unnecessary but a preface would be good as well as a forward. The preface will explain how the author developed his ideas to create the the book and what his influences were. The forward would document how the author was connected to the story, that his what his inspiration was. This is generally written by someone other than the author.
Sometimes the author may have to re-write his work into a more fluid form especially if all he has done is made observations or taken down notes. Notes or incomplete sentences that are used to refer to the main elements of an argument may be used as an entry of some points that need to be listed but their use should be scarce when you are looking for a dialogue between several characters and that dialogue develops into something dramatic.
Repetitions should be weeded out as should inessential details that are only there to pad your information. Poor quality not only leads to poor readership of your blog, that same lack of quality will tarnish your reputation as an engaging writer and being engaging is for the most part hard work for the creative producer. At least one no longer has to go through numerous proofs and type settings as before before desktop publishing was not around. The advantage of self-publishing or making your book available on-line as well as in hard copy should make you feel that you have a better edge in the competitive writing market.
Finally getting someone to proofread your work before it is uploaded does make the difference between a poor copy and one that reads well with no typos and syntax errors.
