If you write about what you know your readers can better relate to your work so pick a subject that’s close to your heart.
I recommend that if you are a serious journalist that you write about things that you know. My friend Karen told me to write about a day in the life of john king. She said ” who is a subject that you know the most about” that was probably paraphrased but you understand. Many writers ask me when they are starting out for advice on how to get readers and inspiration. It has been my experience that if you write about things that you know, the readers can better relate.
I would never write about building an airplane because I would not even know where to begin. I write about things that I find interesting and that mean something to me. My readers to my knowledge can relate and understand what I write about because it relates to their life. I have had many of my fellow Christians talk to me about how my writings are a blessing to them. When I say they talk to me I mean in the comments section of my work.
Some of them have even sent me inbox messages telling me about things that have been going on with them. They have asked me oftentimes to read and comment on their work.
One of my favorite writers here on the network of triond is Karen Gross and another that has been great to me goes by the pen name of Mrs. Heart. I’ve not quite been able to go and read all the articles that I would like to, but hopefully eventually I will. So I ask my readers to please bear with me if you want me to read some of your work. Now that I have the voice recognition software I may well be able to have more time to read since it takes less time to write now.
Thank you all for your time, and God bless
