Aside from Triond, there are additional freelance writing sites. I have links to all of these on my other site as well, in case I have missed any, which is aaronmichelle.blogspot.com.
EHow:
EHow is a how to site. Articles that are submitted need to be in a how to format with step by step instructions on how to complete any project or task. The more articles an author submits the higher their ranking becomes. Once an author’s account reaches $10.00 or more, they will be paid the following month. If the account is below $10.00 at the end of the month, the amount will be rolled over to the next month. There is no employment process, any one can sign up to write with them.
Associated Content:
Associated Content is similar to EHow. Authors make money in the same way, except that Associated Content offers topics that authors can pick up and write about. This is a nice feature, because this means these are topics people want to know more about and there will be a higher chance of people clicking on the articles and the links within the article. Associated Content is free to sign up with and there is no employment process with this company either. Also, Associated Content pays out at the end of the month, once the account is over a few dollars.
Text Broker:
Textbroker is a little bit different from the above two sites, in that there is an employment process. Writers will submit their resume and writing samples. Once the samples are reviewed the author is given a two through five-star rating. Each author can claim one assignment at a time. Once completed they can accept another assignment and complete it and so on. Articles can be sent back for re-writes as many times as the client sees fit. Once accepted, the author is paid into their account. Textbroker pays twice a month and the account must be at a minimum of $10.00.
ECopywriters:
ECopywriters is similar to Textbroker. Once you sign up, they send you packet to complete and send back. Then you write a sample article. They have a rating system also, 2 through 5. Once they review your article and you are rated you are able to begin working. You pick up one assignment at a time, complete it and once approved you are paid. They pay twice a month, on the 1st and the 15th.
Bukisa:
Is another how to site. They do not seem to receive as many hits as EHow does. You can write how to’s, add videos, pictures or write on any other topic you like. It is also a residual income site and there is no employment process, anyone can sign up. The account does need to reach $10.00 to paid the following month. An account under $10.00 rolls over to the next month.
Shvoong:
Shvoong is a residual income site where you can write abstracts, reviews and summaries of books and magazines. The site is open to anyone to join and the format is really easy to use. Payments are made once a month as well, once the account reaches $10.00.
Suite 101:
Suite 101 is a residual income site as well. They do receive a lot of hits and the articles can be written on pretty much anything. When you submit an article it goes to the editor of that topic area. Which is nice to know that you have the same editors in each topic and they will know what you are talking about, within the chosen topic. Accounts are paid once a month. There is an employment process, once you sign up, you fill out the writer’s application and submit two writing samples. You can apply as many times as you like with them.
Fire How:
Fire How is like EHow and Bukisa. Anyone is free to join and there is no employment process. All articles must be in the how to format. Once the account reaches $10.00 the writer is paid the following month.
Mint Articles:
Mint Articles is connected to your Adsense account. So you receive part of the advertising revenue. The site is really easy to use and it is free to sign up. As well as there being no employment process.
Expert Columns:
Expert Columns is another residual income site. You can write about anything you like on there and they use CrowdA to track your hits. This is where you can see how much you have made. Similar to Adsense. Anyone can sign up and there is no employment process.
Today:
Today is a blog site, however you do get paid for blogging. They also have a rewards program as well. You are sent emails and receive point to read them and can redeem the points for gifts. Or shop through their links and receive points. I have already receive quite a few points and can almost redeem soon, just by reading the emails.
Xomba:
Xomba is a tips and how to type site. A residual income site as well. You can sign up and begin posting right away.
I have signed up with multiple sites to see which work best and again, just to get my name and work out there. Not to say that I write on every single one every day though. I’d like to get to that point.
